surprisingly the KYB OEM part number was different to the KYB replacement...QUICKPC's. brought that to my attention but I didnt believe him until I changed the shocks myself and noticed the difference....even entered the replacment KYB part number on the KYB website and they don't knw that application...the excel G's on that site is different..

turbobeast perhaps you may have gotten authentic KYB shocks and not what most sell over here...can u compare the part number on your car with the KYB website to see if they match?

fellas permit me some time to beat ah well beaten horse.

i was talking with a fellow CS owner and the talk of engine swaps came up.
so we went through the paces.
- 4g15 1.5L GDI and non GDI variants
-4g18 1.6 L
-4g93 1.8 GDI and non GDI, comes 4g93t.

now things get interesting, i not sure if these impossible or improbable.
-4g69 this is 2.4L for US/Austraila Lancer or galant etc. (i have never seen this locally)
-4G63 2.0L DOC from the EVO's
i was informed that a SOHC exists and powers the airtreks

correct me if i am misinformed.

i am most interested in the 4g63 SOHC will this work in a CS?

yup, 4G63 SOHC in teh N/A Airtreks

4G63 DOHC in the turbo Airtreks - same as teh 4G63 in teh E7, but with a smaller turbo and different management

not sure bout the same tranny thou in the Airtrek and E7 GTA

W5A55 Question

Aye Exclamation

Leave your sexual preference outta here Exclamation

There are kids (Zero One, Tishmell & QG)reading these threads

Yuh doh see the rest of us coming in here and screaming out "pu$$i"

SHO I'd b careful if I were you, the way he using your name

As for the shocks and springs, good price

I agree with you about the OEM - nutten beats a stock ride quality

But if it was for an AirTrek why not try it just to see how it works, the Airtrek does have a better ride than the CS3 Lancer, so it may work better that stock CS3, once it fits properly

Is it of similar dimensions Question
U need shocks anyways
