I shall check RHD but problem is his store located in Mars and I located in Pluto.
I called Supertech and they have some for $195
But I saw a Antec USB powered one online
But one reviewer said it had a problem in that it draws air away from the laptop and actually made his lappie run hotter. lol
Now its a SONY VAIO centrino duo laptop. So all in all I guess I won't need no major cooling cause this laptop is already pretty cool you can easily put it on your lap but thats only if you wear jeans. It is indeed one of the coolest running laptops I ever used but I would like a powered cooling pad to properly remove heat.
See the more heat you remove the longer the life of the electronic components in the laptop. I want one thats light btw. Nothing to heavy cause I ain't hulk. |

Alpine, supertech hav the same sheit generic ting that PRW have for 10$ less. my fren bought one, and wen she resting the laptop on it, the shield for the fan touching the blades, unless you balance it in a schupid way.and thats a light hp 14" lappy. and they have a thermaltake fanless one as well, http://www.amazon.com/Therm...ics&qid=1258685752&sr=8-1 but i read some reviews saying that it can buss easy, and dont really promote airflow, just heat dissipation. i have a targus with a built in USB hub, and i find it is cool my AMD Turion laptop pretty well, the internal fan does hardly need to come on. I bought a thermaltake t2000 for my sis http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?S=1121&ID=1596 from RHD, and that one pwns the targus. when i used that one, my laptop fan didnt even need to come on . |

^^ the high end cooling pads is best suited for gaming notebooks etc.
I have a light centrino laptop so cooling it by a few degrees and keeping my lap cool should do.
now super sh!t wants $195 for a generic piece of sh!t thats so terrible that to get air flow you actually need another cooling pad for the original cooling pad
Allyuh see now why I call these people super sh!t right?
That Antec seems kinda useless I guess. Unless I open it and reverse the fan so it blows air upwards.
The Laptop I have is a Vaio thin and light design. Weighs same weight as a acer timeline only 5.8 pounds. Has aluminum body and stuff so its pretty light.
So I think a cheap cooling pad will do me good. I saw one on amazon for $12 so I guess I may buy that. should also be cheaper than super sh!t to.
I just frighten at the box them morons gonna put that in in order to ship it. These idiots does pack these things in a box large as a planet so you does pay to ship air. |

why you wana blow the air upward?i think most of them does work by extracting the warm air, i might be wrong though. the ones i have works like that. but i saw a high end themaltake have one blowing out and one in, so it has a constant flow of air along the grooves for best heat dissipation.i guess if you buy the cheap one, you cud reverse one fan and see if it makes a difference. |

u have a point
the antec isn't bad maybe $250 for the most
Also i doubt i would have to reverse the fan since it would extract all the hot air before the laptop would get a chance to get hot |

| The XPad isn't a "cooler" really, it's just a shield to prevent the laptop from getting hot against your skin. |
