to get the maximum benefits out of using a capacitor, the capacitor MUST be placed as close as possible to the bass amp..
make sure the power wire between the cap and amp is either as large as possible, or as short as possible..
[0awg>cap>distro block>4awg to amps]
too must 'stuff' (resistance) between the cap and amp..
[0awg>cap>4awg to amps]
recommend using 0 or 2awg to the sub amp.. if not, a very short 4awg |

cap>amp is going to be ~1ft of cable
amp is a 500.1 dont think it would take the 0 anyway

4guage will do just right..
try to keep as little resistance between the cap and the bass amp still..
wat sub will u running? at 2ohms? or 1ohm?
while u can try to for the biggest/shorted run from cap to amp..remember to make ur terminal connections GOOD.. |

it is a 3 ohm sub
i was leaning towards this set up
0awg>distro block>4awg to cap>cap to bass amp>4awg to mids (no cap on mids)
yay or nay? |

unless the amp is only stable at nothing lower than 3ohms, the amp wont really be under full stress..so thats a good thing.
that can work as well..dont see a problem there
jus keep the wire to the cap and bass amp biggest guage POSSIBLE and shortest... |

well
in this case dude, those are both very efficient piece of equipement. iv used and owned a 500/1 b4 and they barely draw any kind of current really
and they produce their power as low as 11v..
i dont even think u need a cap, once u have a good gel battery. |
