ok guys heres the deal...i want to put a single pioneer 12 but i not sure if to use the dual 4 or the dual 2..can anyone tell me whats the difference...i am using half of a power acoustic 1600w gothic amp.....and the other 2 ch for the mids...{not sure of what speakers for mids yet}...my issue here is if the d4 will work and perform just as well as the d2...  |

the coil config is just to match your amp ohm config.
the 2 channels should bridge down to 2 ohms, so get the D4, wire it in parallel to get a 2 ohm load.

as edhardy shows below, it bridges at 4 ohms, so you should get the D2

From what i gather the power acoustic is a four channel amplifier which should be bridgeable at a four ohm load. The dual two subwoofer would be able to be wired in series to a four ohm load to maximize the full potential of the amplifier without running it at a lower than recommended load which can cause warranty issues and may damage your amplifier.
So in short use the Dual two subwoofer.  |
