Febreze and also put some baking soda in a plate inside the car and see if it removes any smell from the car. Suppose to nuetralize the in-cabin scent. After that get some nice smelling glade or whatever liquid crystal solution and leave in the car and use the aircondition. It should help reduce if not replace the bad odor.

That is the problem. The odor.. How to remove it instead of cover it up a bit? All that air freshener burns my nose in some cars... Also when ur A/C gas needs topping up, changing or vacuumin out etc, u get a funny smell

baking soda works but there are aerosols available to spray out the vents . Some AC techs might have them for sale.

I set the air conditioner to suck air from the outside on the highest fanspeed, and sprayed lysol into the ducts leading to the outside. Usually somewhere near the wipers. Lysol kills bacteria and fungus, both can cause smells in damp areas. Fixed mine after two applications . spray until the scent of lysol is coming strong from the a/c, then switch off the a/c so the lysol don't dryoff too fast. Leave windows down if you don't like the scent.

Wynn's has a product specially made for this. Honestly the best thing is to remove the evaporator and clean.

had a similar issue - in my case the evaporator was bad.... and the ac tech replaced it.

onto ur issue - theres some steam cleaning places that can clean the vents for you to ensure no mold / mildew grows in the vents... check tech motive -on facebook

replace ac filters whith ones that has built in carbon / baking soda....

if you do this and still get that smell - best bet is to just simply remove the ac evaporator...and clean it out...and done.
