When I use passives there is no turn on pop. When running active ah getting the pop Confused

What Y'all think Neutral

check the grounding throughout (especially the deck and crossover).. make sure all ground points are clean bare metal..

No externall processing. Ground is bare metal on chassis both places Neutral
Deck ground seems to be pretty much normal.

Can i have a loop if i use the ground on the deck and the deck is also grounded through the antenna. Or b/c i have two ground points for the 2 amps( but on the same plain)

i run multiple ground points in my system and haven't had any issues so far..

what crossover are you using? deck or external?

try disconnecting your rca's and turning on your system.. if it still pops, it's your amps.. if not, it could be the deck..

What does switching to DLS have to do with solving turn on POP? Or is this just a useless comment on a very interesting thread?

you are still getting it, but you are just not hearing it.

its a ground loop. the current is being lost via insertion on the passives, thats why you're not getting it when you use the passives. the passives are acting as a "buffer" if you will.

Pull the amplifier out, test it on a bench.

Just changed head units myself.... Eclipse 8445 had no pops.... Alpine 9887 has a pop (only alteration to the system was the deck)
