I want to install an oil pressure and voltmeter gauge.

But I want to find out what other gauges might be desirable to install?
(Not water temp....the stock temp. gauge is enough for me)

Fuel pressure? Oil temp?

I have an EK4 NA.

Any comments/advice welcome.

Thanks

oil temp is best for highly tuned / turbo charged engines..

you should already have an oil pressure indicator in your car..

(oil temp might be more important than oil pressure in your case.. i'll leave this open for 2nd opinions)

fuel pressure might be good for fine tuning your A/F ratio.. best used with an adjustable FPR..

you can actually tell when your battery is going to die a few days in advance with a good voltmeter.. just monitor your battery's resting voltage in the morning before you start.. if it ever starts dropping below that normal resting voltage, it doesn't have long again..

if you have a deep cycle battery, it could also mean it needs charging..

You mean the so-called "idiot" light is actually oil pressure reading?

I thought it was oil level reading.

Additionally, would the A/F ratio gauge be more important then than the fuel pressure gauge?

Thanks

IMO no need to "gauge-up" unnecessarily , I think for your application the 2 you're going with are best esp the oil pressure

an external water temp. with a warning light is handy...

A/F ratio....or even if possible a vtec controller which may incorporate monitoring other sensors for oil temp, oil pressure, etc.

EK4 is not an SiR? If it has the B16A and he's swinging RPM I'd still go with an Oil Pressure gauge

Asking or telling?

EK4 is chassis designation.

Is not B16A2 engine SiR?

Correct me if I am wrong?
