good day i have a swift gti giving me some head ache
im getting the engine check light when i do the self diagnostic im getting water temp sensor reading.
the car is hard starting when it warms up it starts 2 burn rich,i changed the sensor and still the same problem what could be the problem (i also think my thermostat switch is bad the fan is on all the time)

to by pass this problem right now i have to pull out the water temp connector,bridge it and leave it out so the car reads hot all the time in doin so when the car is cold it misfires but when is warmed its perfect not burning rich anymore

but when bridged, wouldn't you expose the car to the risk of overheating? and if it does overheat, then there are no warning systems because you bypassed it.

pall i think your mixing up the coolant temperature sensor with the temperature sender.... not much of a suzuki man but from what your explaining it's sounding like the coolant temperature sensor

I think it's two problems he's addressing there

wrt the coolant temperature sensor, don't bridge it...unless u have a wideband O2 sensor to properly monitor your AFR, u risk running very lean by doing that and it could cost u an engine.
BTW, did u reset the ECU after u changed the sensor?

secondly, the fan switch only turns the fan on when the wire connection to it is broken, so if the fan is on all the time, u need to check the fan switch wire and make sure it's nor broken before u start interfering with the switch itself
