#4: Author: neckto, Location: Engine RoomPosted: Wed Jun 24, 2009 2:20 pm had this similar problem
was faulty belts
i suggest changing out all ur belts esp the timing belt if ur engine is belt drive
it may not be the faulty belt but better safer than sorry i almost mash up my engine due to timing belt burst
it was other faulty belt but it cause extra stress on timing belt
#5: Author: centralized(m), Posted: Wed Jun 24, 2009 6:50 pm but the wierd ting is that i changed all belts except timing belt las year and got the tension re-checked afterwards also.....hmmmmm....but as turboboy told me in d post in mitusbishi that it can be the compressor going bad or the compressor pully bearing going bad...take a read of wat he said fellas and see if u agree...i kinda goin with wat he sugessting...!!!!!!

#19: Author: brams112, Location: trinidadPosted: Wed Jul 01, 2009 8:47 pm you can also check on the crankshaft pulley, some carry a buffer built in the pulley for vibration dampning,if it is bad it also makes a squeaking sound.
