we can't tell you because your preferences, driving habits, and even route would not be ours.
which is why

which driving habits would require higher/lower pressure?

can over pressure damage the suspension?

i enjoy spirited driving and have a lot of rubber between rim and road.
At 32psi, I can enjoy a spirited run from princes town to mayaro,, i feel every single ridge, and know exactly where my tires are placed, and expect suitable traction.

another driver of the car cruises mainly, finds 32psi is too high, and prefers to roll, or stop when rough patches are encountered. they drive the same car at 28psi, and are happy with that.

DJ Q,
does that shed some light on the subject?

oh... so maybe I should experiment with different tire pressures and see which one i'm comfortable with?

is there a recommended range to stay between?

the range we use for light passenger vehicles is 26 - 35
heavier vehicles 30-40

each tyre has its own recommended inflation pressure marked on the wall use that as a baseline

you mean maximum?
recommended is normally on the vehicles pillar, by the driver's door.

^^^the ones on the pillar etc. are usually the minimum pressure.......

tire pressure shouldn't be a function of what your ride quality requirements are, but should be based on safe maximum tire contact area with the road. tire pressure affects the tire's ability to clear water from under it in wet conditions...and as a result is quite an important factor in your car's safety...........

there was a great link posted some years ago with pictures of the contact area at different tire pressures......will go look for it and request that it be stickied Exclamation

^^
yes it is a huge factor, but even in that range, there can be comfort tweaks.

a tire moving at 140km/h, needs to move water faster than one moving at 70km/h,
which one should have the higher pressure?
