Every day on the highway I am sure many of us encounter vehicles with defective lights, sometimes the idiots mashing sudden brakes and it's a good thing you are a good distance behind because their brake lights not working. Obey the facking law and you won't get fined.

while i understand that its the case of the avg trini, the laws are still retarded and clearly no thought went into it... they simply raised the fines, same old laws from 1930 sumn....

its the ambiguity and ignorance of it that makes it unfair

we don't simply want harsher penalties but clear concise laws/ standards

so its not a matter of "obey d fackin law" when you don't know what that law is

tell me... what is reversing an unreasonable distance ?

bribes anyone ?

x 10000000000000999999000000999888900000

they need to be more specific...
and as for "failure to comply with an officer $1000" that is real sh1t...

Re: Raise in Fixed Penalty Notices (Traffic Tickets) Officia

Postby SR » April 20th, 2010, 9:25 pm

this has to be written and apporved by some of the most stupidest people

see my comments below
the mv act has been written since the 40's or 50's and reffered to vehicles and road conditions back then and imho needs to be reviewed and updated
same goes for speed limits on the highways

MrD15Bvti wrote:Ok ppl this is d official fee for traffic tickets now

Defaced/Defective I.D. plate.............$300
this should be $500

Using vehicle for purpose other than registered.........$750

No Front/Rear ID plate affixed.............$750
No I.D. Light at night..............$300
this should be reduced as bulb can blow while driving
No # of passengers.............$300
Defective Brakes..................$750
No MGW/Tare painted on.............$1000
Defective fittings.................$450
No Silencer /Fitted with cut off........................$300
a sepcified db rating should be stated to properly enforce this law

Unauthorized Lights..........$750
Unautorized Letters/figures.....................$750
this needs further explanation unless it refers to number plates where there already is a charge for a defective id plate

No park light ..............$1000
No Tail light.......................$1000
again these are subject to being blown while in motion
Drive on footpath or pavement....................$1000
Reversing unreasonable distance $750
Reversing around corner in P.o.S. or San Do............$1000
Fail to keep left .............$1000
does this also include police vehicles doing 60kph on the right lane at night?
Improper overtaking (left)....................$1000
improper overtaking Right/cutting in.........$1000
Overtaking traffic at a dangerous place.....$1000
park 9m of corner.....$500
fail to draw up closest side of the road.....$300
overcrowded vehicle ......$750
Carrying persons dangerously......$$750
defective tires ......$1000
this should increase to $2000 however a tread depth gauge needs to be used and a specified depth stated as minimum allowed

Playing musical/noisy instrument in vehicle.........$1000
ROFLMAO this law was created in the 40's or 50's and reffered to the playing of actual musical instruments and has nothing to do with car stereo systems this is just another sing of the stupid arsehole who approved this as legislation needs to be passed to ammend this. however if it has to refer to car stereo then a specific db level has to be stated and a measurement must be taken in order to lay the charge as again its left to the discretion of the officer which could lead to victimization

using vehicle contrary to registration......$1000
isnt this already a $759 charge see number 2 on the list

Fail to wear seatbelt driver/ passenger 17yrs......$1000
Driving vehicle with person in front Seat w/o seatbelt....$1000
driving vehicle with child in front seat w/o seatbelt 5yrs.....$1000
Excess Speed.....$1000
Racing/speed trials w/o permission.....$1000
Fail to comply with officer......$1000
Breach of traffic sign...$1000
Dangerous Driving $1000

If your thread is so low, that those indicators are showing, yes you should be fined.
should the fine be so high, some can't replace the tire after?

Maybe he really had 16's and not 18's

This will be a problem for all the ppl with Type-R and GTR badges on their cars.

there was a whole new movement concerning this in the states they want to raise the maximum allowable thread depth from 5mm to at least 15mm since anything less than that is dangerous. dont talk about that wear indicator if you reach there then u already in trouble
