|
|
| Good Day Tuners, just stepped up my rim size to 17's and was wondering if my PSI should change. I used to have the civic on 15's runnnig 30PSI, i bought nexen n1000 215/45/17, should i remain at the same pressure, increase or decrease? |

u shud use a cold min of 30.....however, most cars recommend using more psi in the front wheels to cater for the extra wt in front....like 32 front 30 rear
u may need more pressure depending on ur driving style as well...i have 17s and i use 33 F 31 R |

harsh ride?? and how is the tyre wear at those pressures? |
on the 205/40/17 the tires are proxes fz4 they ride harsh no matter what. that psi gives the best compromise with handling and gas mileage though
the 225/45/17 are sp sportmaxx the ride is very very smooth at that psi less than that the car feels a little floaty and my mileage goes down by 3-4 mpg
even tire wear in both situations i get my alignment checked every 2 months or so and have yet to have a tire wear unevenly |

| 205/50/15 direzza dz101 - tire max 44psi...I run 38psi front and 36psi rear...ride is firm...not stiff....gas mileage would also be affected positively with harder pressure although sacrificing some(slight) ride comfort |
