hey guys i have a distribution block hooked up for two amp rite, i want to know if i still need the fuse holder that people does put by the battery?

yes you still are strongly advised to use a fuse capable of passing the max current of everything powered off that cable w/o going much over. This fuse is a safety measure against the event that a short circuit occurs. Many vehicular fires are caused by improper electrical wiring and fusing.

And know the capabilities of your cables... do not attempt to do something like use a 200A fuse on a 4AWG line Neutral

what about if i wanna run a next battery in the back? do i still need the fuse and if yes what current rating?

you need a fuse near each battery on the +ve wire.
