sooo anyway... I finally take the Manifold off the ZM, here's what it looks like..
After reading up on how to clean it online, I was expecting it to be much worse.. inside is actually pretty clean.. where the throttle body bolts up is similar to where the manifold bolts on to the block.. but inside, it's clean.
I'll post up a pic of the manifold after cleaning.. |

This is how the new lungs for my VE looked after cleaning..
I used a tin of AMSOIL POWER FOAM, paired with a toothbrush ( oral-B ) & approx 1 hour of cleaning..
Is this ready for installation now fellas? |

remember that yuh intake air needs a slight turbulence at the manifold level to ensure a proper mix wit the fuel so not too smooth.
You could however, do a bit of porting on the intake side as you have it out already. |

Way boy Maztune Only $35 .. Nex thing u might tell me u have Mobil & Redline oil cheap too..
Looks like I'll be installing the manifold tomorrow.. I have a question though..
Should I use the throttle body from the ZM along with the manifold? or just slap back on the VE throttle? It looks basically the same to me.. |

mazdamig you did any fuel mods (ie change fuel pump or stock)
more air + same amt of fuel = lean conditions
or would the ecu be able to handle it, and only premium fuel ? |
