beyma has a car audio loudspeaker
you can use dj speakers, but yo will have to go as far as a 3way component kit
ie-
midbass
midrange
hights
eg-
rcf l10750yk midbass
8" 18sound
selinium 210ti driver or large bullet tweeter
all have specific bandpass filters
after that it's all about tuning |

lol you don't mean clean- you mean tone and frequency response. A Pro Mid setup can be very clean once u know wat not to do.
as SSC said about the Beyma car mid lines... most likely he's talking about the competition series which are 4-ohm very similar to pro mid design. I got myself a pair of 8"s but by next weekend I will be able to comment on it since I haven't heard it in an enclosure yet. |

Im guessing it has to go in stock locations, but if a backdash is available, 6x9 ftw. |

Kurpal, when yuh go to a concert, you does stand up with yuh back to the stage??? When you listening to music, you turn the chair around to make sure your back is to the speakers???
Then why in SR's holy name would you want all the music coming from behind you!???? |

AMEN!!!
A next thing, why in God's name do people insist on "bai put ah siks-bi-nine" on de back dash" when there are so many 6" that can fit in the stock mounting positions and not overpower the front/stage speakers? |

I know the gallary men wouldn't like that statement eh, but for the life of me, I cannot understand this obsession with music coming from behind!!!!
Maybe they born with back to front ear lobes or something??? |

Wait you supposed to be facing the stage?
I just saying if the man want that he could do that. I wont do it, hell I dont even have connections for the speakers in my back doors.
Plus if he were to put 6x9's in the backdash, Id expect something to still be in the front locations and the 6x9 just there when he wants to get loud. *shrugs shoulders* |

The man didnt say he's doing a gallery build and everyone's straying,...but gallery cars are meant for sound reinforcement, not sound quality reproduction, so anything wrt to staging, imaging are not to be considered.
Even so, for the gallery cars, most of the listening is done from outside, where the listeners face the car and the speakers are in front of the listeners....like in a concert
[/firechook]
but back on topic, 2 pairs of good power handling comps up front (one pair in kickpanels, other pair in doors - tweet on a pillar) with enough power will be more than enough for most people, and retain the sound quality reproduction that you're looking for. |

When:
1) "yuh head bad"
2) All you can hear is bass from the stolen cabinet on top a man's mother ride
3) AND it has more lights in your immediate surroundings than a photophobia's nightmare
You think the fact that the music is coming from in front of you matters? |

Well i think the reason to have a car is to drive it !
and while ur driving u might want to listen to a lil music.
lets average 80 % driving it and 20 % listening from the outside.
I rather listen to nice music while i drive than park up and play it till d speakers crying. |

nope
the man ask about 6" speakers so 8" and 6x9's wont fit
dls ms6a if he has the room for depth
if not i suggest a component with a metallic based tweeter like mbquart of focal as they tend to play a little louder than a soft dome tweeter
as well as the comparison he is using is a faital 6" which is a dedicated pro mid driver so there wont be an "equivelant" in a 6" component set as they are 2 totally different types of drivers
this is where he has to make a compromise if he wants the sq |

I'm actually a gallery kinda guy lol
To keep it clean while being loud u need some really good processing.
If he want to use sq speakers in stock positions for gallery it doesn't make sense.
Everyone bashes dj speakers yet no one has ever built a proper enclosure for one.
they are not ment to be high mid and highs, to get the 10's to sound how they suppose to sound u have to cut them off around 1.5 khz and start ur horn from there no car audio xover doin that.
I say run multiple sq speakers. |

lots of good suggestions,
i was thinking about doin what ssc said and maing my own 3 way component set with dj speakers, using a 6" faital mid, a 8" midbass of some sort, and a driver on each door.
And then i was gonna build a custom passive for it.
hey rovin you know the price ah dem 8" DLS and exactly how loud do they get. Like loud enough for a small lime, but still rell clean.
KINDA KNOW I ASKIN FOR ALOT, BUT IT CAN'T HURT TO ASK. |
