I was asking this earlier with no solid answer..

1. Does the quality of wire you use to deliver energy to your speakers make a difference in the SOUND you hear? If so How? Dont say you hear a difference without some kind of proof.

2. Does the quality of RCA's make a difference in sound? How? Proof?

There are specific awg charts available on the net, some that factor in inefficiency losses and some that dont. USe those charts to determine cable size for the length of the run, and the current carrying capacity.

When buying power cables, look at the amt of copper vs the thickness of insulation. Not all "fat" cables are filled with current carrying conductors as copper/aluminum etc costs are on the rise, and manufacturers, in order to stay competitive, cut back on the amount of conductors.

Some better brands that give more conductors are rf, jl audio, tsunami, and a select few others.

WRT to RCA, buy the one that fits your budget.

note that the number of conductor in the wire is very important...the higher the number the more current it can carry. The current travels about the surface to the copper and not the core.

also when sizing power cables make sure u factor in the current u plan to use. Dont buy 0 AWG if u are just powering a 400W system, this is wasted money.

U can check rockford fosgate website for some useful tools in calculating cable sizing.
