get a k&N drop in and a set of iridium plugs heat range 6 ........
a nice set of 9ohm plug cables from suzuki sport
and a light weight crank pully could also save u some gas .....
but more serious ....keep the engine out of vvt if u wanna save gas |

W3rd, I figured it was somewhere around there. Engine noise seems to increase exponentially above 4k rpm |

lifestyle have cleared all cars to use super instead of the premium. Only car that needs to use premiun is the swift - super saves u money!!!!
Call lifestyle to confirm.
The sx4 does burn a lil extra from my experience maybe because its so fast and my foot heavy!! |

u mean swift sport & ignis sport
both cars have 11:1 compression ratio's and actually require 98 ron |

^^Yep. According to the owner's manual for the Swift Sport, it actually requires 98 RON for max power, but using 95 RON will suffice (they made no mention of using it for a short interval or for slow driving only like other cars...so using premium should be cool).
As for the regular swift, that runs a 9.5:1 compression, and they can run on Super (but 95RON gives better performance).

What i mean is that the sx was meant to be driven fast, and well that causes the car to use more gas - that car just cannot be driven slow |

my wife has the sx4 hatch and yes it is heavy when u think about it being a 115hp 1.6, 16 valve engine and compared to the popular other 1.6's, it is heavy on gas.
As for fast, lol, it gets u there. |

i drove one for 2 days and I really liked this car but it was the sedan though. As was mentioned before it has good braking and steering feel and the handling is very impressive. Despite having drums in the back, the brakes held well thanks to ABS and EBD.
The car is not very big but has clever packaging and its kerb weight has grown compared to the Liana of yore. Its pretty heavish for a small compact car so the 1.6 has to labour in each rpm range just to keep spirited performance.
VVT is actually a gas saving and emissions reduction technology as such if it is of the continuous type it should be good as soon as it is started. Nevertheless I got 400kms on a full tank of super unleaded and it costed me around $140. to fill up.
At least it has better economy than a Wingroad Y11, Sunny B15, Almera and Impreza. |

Not sure if it makes sense interferring with your new car engine to make modifications. Talk to LM first to c if you will void warranty if you make modifications.
Mods are for more older cars if u ask me - keep your new ride original bro - less headache in fact no headache!!!!!! |

ISn't the Ignis sport's engine basically the same as the M16 in the SS? A guy in work runs an Ignis Sport on Premium afaik. I'm sure his car will feel faster on 98+....but it gets the job done.

Both mods are approved by Lifestyle Motors:
A set of Iridium Plugs cost about $300 for the set from Lifestyle, and the K&N drop in filter avg. $$450-$495 (Chk MiniCity Valpark Plaza). ironically, I couldn't find a K&N listed for the 1.6L only the 2.0L. |

From listening carefully to the LM Service Manager himself - YES.
Word of advice - If your 3 year / 100000KM warranty is important to you, make sure you call the service dept. first before you muck around, especially electrical and suspension. |

isn't the P/N for filter for the 2.0 SGV and the 2.7 SGV the same... maybe in this case it's similar... i.e. the filter for 2.0 will work for the 1.6 |
