correct me if i'm wrong...but our local super carries a octane rating of 87...and it is recommended for vehicles under the 10.1 ratio...as for the compression ratio...u can check your owners manual..or do a compression test...long story short....at the end of the day...i still use my discretion...try the super..listen for for the knocking...if not....use it add a treatment monthly...my advice(be mindful there might be a slight drop if any @ all in accelaration)....jus my lil 2cents..

i havent had any problems, and wel i use ah redline every so often.
buh i hav ah trick that some ppl condem: i throw in ah few naphthalene balls in d gas tank, about 2-3 for the month and i dont let tha tank run under 1/4. at months end i run d tank low and then refill, when i add redline i do not add d naphta.

is true....
our super octane is at 92 and premium at 95 and from my 306/406 owner's manual it says that the minimum octane required is 91 so our Super Gas is all fine!
