First of all please stop with the Caps.
Secondly... in order for us to diagnose your problem, you need to list ALL of the equipment that you're using.
This sounds more like it's a current/amplifier gain/processor issue... |

Get the best eq your money will afford you and work on your crossover points. Those 2 8`s are more than enough mids for that sub. Also if u running them in an enclosure ie box or fiberglass backdash , try lining the inner walls with polyfill.
what amp do you have available? |

either u deaf or u under powering d 8s since like said above those 2 8s r very loud & more than enough
maybe all u really need is a good tuning or better installation & not more speakers .... |

Well you said loud but not clean; the 18sounds starving for power most likely. As the guys said man those 8's should be keeping up that sub. More speakers doesn't automatically mean more sound; in your case you may just hear more distortion.
Focus on feeding the 8's and adjusting your set properly then upgrade. |

x2 at crossover points.... what are they currently? And what amplifiers are you using to power the system? |
