KYB makes the OE struts for many manufacturers / models.

Depends on the application.

If its for the Xtrail go with the KYB. But for the Gallant get Reflex

They provide a better ride, smoother on these roads, not as rough as the KYBs. With Excel Gs you feel every hole, bump, and stone in the road. They are stiff but seriously get annoying after a while, especially on the stock springs.

Best of all Monroe Backs it up with a full replacement 6 Month Warranty in Trinidad. I would like to see the suppliers of KYB offer that with their shocks.

You would expect to see KYB get more votes on this forum because most members of Trinituner have no idea what Monroe Shocks are. But for the small shocks on the Gallant I would put in the Monroes and done. Same applies to other small shock cars that have upper and lower cradle arms, civics, p11s, VRGs.

Tokico is a better shock than KYB imho. But i don't even think those are available for all vehicles... at least from the trinidad supplier.
