^^^ u could make the finisher plate with acrylic or plexi and a router or a dremel tool...just countersick the screws so the top is flush, thas all

so when u done you could always make a thin plate or decal to cover up the wiring (if you use the clear acrylic) and fancy it up with a couple LEDs so the grooves for the shifter travel can glow a bit...hmmm...a brushed chrome cover with a blue glow would look PIMP YO!

Yeah cinco those a magnetic proximity sensors, they also have a capacitive version for non-metallic detecting

i can make this circuit using only two sensors and the nuteral switch with some
relays i will try to post up a diagram soon

for A/T???

cuz for a 5fwd shifter plus reverse, you'd need 6 switches/sensors

no no no revers is there already
nuetral in most cases are there already

so all you need is two sensors one on the side and one on the top
and set them up as gates or,nor and and
wait i trying to draw this circuit it is very simple
