dats some big differences there..

performance, comfort, ??? what factors?

performance.. the ST... iz a 2.5 turbo. ST, ST-2 and ST-3 are different trim levels in the focus IIRC. handles pretty well but not as good as the VW golf GTi. looks better than the golf IMHO .. but resale on the golf WILL be better.

You are correct on the trim levels.
A Focus handles much better than a VW Golf MK4 and Mk5 regardless if it is a just a Zetec or a RS vs a boggo 1.6 to R32 Golf.
Lancer feels like a tin box comapred to this company.
