HEY FELLAS, I WAS THINKIN ABOUT, PUTTING AN ENERGY SUSPENSION BUSHING KIT IN MY EK4, bUT I AM CONSIDERING IF IT MAKES SENSE. I DO NOT INTEND TO DO ANY FORM OF RACING WITH THE CAR, IT JUST A DAILY DRIVER WAS JUST LOOKING AT THE BUSHINGS AS THEY ARE DURABLE BUT I DO NOT WANT TO COMPROMISE THE SUSPENSION FEEL AND RIDE. I HAVE HEARD THAT THESE BUSHINGS RIDE REALLY HARD.

not hard, just more firm.
BTW, which bushings did you wanna put in? The master kit, or less?
IMO, if you wanted to put any, get the trailing arm bushings for starters.

COOL, WELL WAS THINKING OF THE MASTER KIT AT FIRST, MY REAR TRAILING ARM BUSHING REAL BUSS UP SO NEED TO CHANGE THOSE ASAP. I JUST DON'T WANT TO MUCH OF A HARSH RIDE. IF IT IS JUST A LIL STIFFER I CAN LIVE WIT THAT, BUT NOT WHEN U HIT A HOLE THE SHOCK TRAVELLING THROUGH THE WHOLE CAR KINDA TING.

Whoever you get it from just get it, had mine on for 2 years now and never looked back....

The steering becomes more direct, more road feedback, vast improvement in handling and I'll never hear I need to replace a bushing ever again!!

Downside
Not a family friendly upgrade i.e. if your wife is expecting, don't drive her around in the car after the installation.

thanks fellas, well i guess you'll just confirmed that u do get a rugged ride. I guess i will pick and choose which bushings to replace with energy suspension bushings and oem bushings. Really don't want that stiff ride in this ride.

I do not find the ride is stiffer, you get less body roll and less "mushiness", but your shocks and even mor importantly springs are the biggest contributors to a hard ride, worse yet low sidewall tyres.

Do it, you will not regret it. I changes the trailing arm bushings on my civic and never had to worry about them again.

the energy suspension is really a good choice, though costly, it will outlast any other bushing u use...i work in a machine shop and usually install them on the b15 cradle....never heard anyone complain about them....

I installed the full master bushing kit on my eg including rear trailing arm bushing. I think fake ass teflon bushing gave theses a bad rap. The ride is a little stiffer yes but the handling and stability and sense of security highly compensates for the ridgity. Your preference depends on what you want.

I have been driving about six months on them and no probs so far. Every day to and from work. And a civic is much muuuuuch softer than my car to ride in. I do not think it will be an issue. But don't take my word alone for it. I am speaking from the point of view of an enthusiast.

cool, i think the safest way to maintain that rideability is just carefully selecting which bushings to replace with energy sus and which to replace with oem bushings. I think i'll stick to that.

i have an entire ES bushing kit on my civic, the ride is a bit stiffer but its a nice kind of stiffness, handling and steering greatly improved in my book. the entire car feels great. the only negative thing i can say about the bushings is that if not installed properly it tends to squeak at times. so when u installin ur kit ensure that u grease them properly, dont go easy on the grease use all of it.
