is it Hard to maintain cause of brake dust etc?

Running OEM white Enkei Tommi Makinen Edition rims on E6 for a few years.
No cleaning problems... No staining... No issues.
Brake dust was more obvious on original silver Enkei rims than on white Enkei rims.
Still a p.i.t.a. to clean every week though. Rolling Eyes

I have white rims on my Primera. I also use OE brake pads, which really aren't that dusty.

So all in all, not really that hard to maintain. Wink

nah they dont stain, provided they are painted PROPERLY in the first place.
(spray paint WILL get stained quickly)

White rims just need a little more care to clean, that is all.
Who does good rim painting?

AFAIK there was info on the forum about a powder costing company a couple months ago.
Yup, may be expensive but IMHO still cheaper to do that once, instead of repainting more often.

This seems to be the only shot I have with the rims on the car:

As I said, not that hard to maintain....but yes they do show dirt a little more quickly than a regular "silver" rim. But then again, the entire car's white, so dirt shows up easy Evil or Very Mad

yup

if it's really caked on there, run the hose on the rim a bit first..the instructions say to do that first anyway, esp if the rim is still warm...it serves to take off the loose dirt first, pre-soak the heavy dirt and cool the rim some more

NOTE: DO NOT run water on hot brakes, the rapid cooling can warp/crack/weaken the hot metal (minute cracks, your rotors won't snap in half or anything so drastic...but still don't do it...wait a bit till everything cools down before starting to clean them)

then you apply the cleaning foam and let it sit about a minute before passing a sponge on it and then hose everything off

it's important that the rim is NOT hot when applying the cleaner or else it'll just dry up before it gets a chance to cleaning the rim
