I bought some of these and the ends are shown below:

What is the middle line for? Is that for some sort of grounding/noise suppression or can I use that for say a remote line? Or would that introduce noise into the system?

Used these already.....very nice RCA's

only problem was they pulled out the female grounding from an Orion 800.4 amp..Thats because they hold very tight at the ends....just be careful when inserting and taking out....
