can you solve my nissan problem.
I have a nissan wingroad Y10 that cuts off periodically while slowing down or at standstill. The exhaust is black. I have checked and serviced injectors and changed fuel filter. But that hasn't helped.
Yesterday, I got a Diagnostic code 12 -Air flow meter .
Can i but an Air flow meter or do i need the throttle body?
My Sunny almera is behaving the same way also.

get that replaced buddy.
if you're good with your mech, and he has a few "old" engines around, he may give it to you.
other than that, any FU yard could get you one. approx $100-$150

change the airflow meter on the wingroad as he suggested. Almeras are notorious for having the same problem, so get that part replaced on the almera as well.

base on what is in bold fonts i am guessing its a ga15de, this can be repaired.
it is caused by cold solder on the main connector pins inside the airflow
if you can get someone who's capable to open the side of the throttlebody
and solder it you are good to go just seal it back with silicone and you're
done

you can take the old one to a tv repair place and ask them to repair the cold soldered
joint and keep it for spare

yeh well it not costing more than $100 to fix and if you can do it yourself
you can buy a new soldering iron ,solder,a small flat screwdriver to open it and
a tube of silicone and still be under $100 for a one time fix compared to buying it in the bamboo
for 4 -5 hundred dollars with a possibility that you will have the same problem in the future
