when the rubber mounts died in my PU11 Turbo Maxima, i couldnt find a good replacement pair so i decided to do my own thing

I removed the mounts that house the rubber and put them in a fire to burn out the rubber then once cooled i debured them internally and headed down to my local suspension shop

took a few measurements and then looked through the polyurethane suspension bush catalogs and found the the diff cradle bushes from a 1976 datsun 180b would fit perfectly, all i had to do then was make a steel sleeve that went through the mount

wagonrunner, i believe its more of a moulding work..
The purpose is to fill it up with polyurethane so they wouldnt burst.
Buh would it be better to use the old busted cross member mounts or new ones when filling it up??

sorry to hijack thread, while on the same topic... if the mounts are really busted an can't find new replacements, is there somewhere able to remake them for a reasonable price?
