nah something wrong dey....because on all the VR monoblocks the amplifier birth certificates state that the quoted rating is @ 13.8V, which is the "normal" voltage level present in most cars.

the VR1000D is 1000W rms @ 13.8V and 1442W rms @ 14.4V
the VR2000D is 2000W rms @ 13.8V and 2759W rms @ 14.4V
the VR4000D is 4000W rms @ 13.8V and 4912W rms @ 14.4V

There has been a problem with the crossfire packaging in the early years, for eg: the RS6 components are equipped with silk dome tweeters while the box states that they have titanium tweeters..... Rolling Eyes

anywayz no need to argue bout dat na....we both agree the VR4000D is a beast!! Laughing Laughing Laughing

was lookin into the crossfire but that is not 1 ohm stable

i think i would really look into the SS 6500 and the atomic 5000

well i am in the works of upgradin my electrical system so i dont think that would be much of a problem

Shocked Shocked Shocked

i dont mean to deter u from de ss 6500 but it iz ah beast with 3 optima d34 and a rebuilt alt i waz still seein 11.5volts, between the 2 u lookin @ de atomic 5000d will give u de power with alot less current draw

ps i tried de atomic 3000d on de same electrical system as de ss and i waz seein 13.0 for de lowest

Why do you need a single amp?
2 smaller power 1500-2kw amps would be my choice over a single larger amp.

yea but silent_riot,he'll have to get 2 amps that stable at 1/2 ohm to get 1 ohm when strapped....

the only 2 amps that comes to mind are the mmats 3500.5 which are 2700rms amps.....2 of those will cost him $11,200....and will do 5400rms if hes lucky....the one AT5000D will cost him less than that and will do 5000rms once his electricals are up to par....
