ok, i went by the mech, the problem with my oil leak was the seal behind the engine oil cooler(trust me i'd didnt know there was an oil cooler) was bad, so it was replaced, when replaced the oil filter seal started leaking, so i changed the oil and filter. started up for about 15 mins, no drips, took it for a run, still no drips. so i cool now
right now i have a busted engine mount, mech say, if it not making noise doh bother to see bout it, cuz the car is extra pressure to change that.
rodney, i eh get any manual with the car either.
as for the FSM, put it on a cd and bring it to a tuner lime. |

right side mount. have to look at sum prices.
i had ah small leak in the powersteering section too. turns out it was the line under the fill up container, had run slack and the oil ran down the line and onto the pump, making it look like a leak too. |

Trust me that engine mount thing is stress. First of all its not your normal mount(applies to the auto VQ only). The mount is a electro/hydraulic mount that has sensors on it. It's about $5G by massey i hear. The sensors work to soften up the mount when in neutral and stiffen it up when in drive. That way u feel absolutely nothing from the engine.
Best bet like the mech says if it not makin noise u could leave it, but from personal experience when 1 mount goes bad an u leave it long enough the other mounts go bad an den is more headache 4 u. Start saving!!
U will hav to let me no when nex u hitting a tuner lime so i could organise it. |

that is real stress.
as for the lime i think i go be in the one b4 the holiday.
i only see one mount gone bad, i eh check the others yet, i go do that prob weekend.
i wah do meh intake like chiney, take out the cat, and any other crap. put in ah nice muffler and cool meh self with that. |

i was thinking forester, but i feel that go have to wait, i wah sumthning i could customise easy, like ah b13, where i could sr it easy, but i preffer reliable mods that the crap u does see sum ppl going through, cuz they have to go by the mech every month cuz ah sum sheit.
frontiers have speed, that why ppl drive them like that, plus they have ah advantage(height)
btw what is the trottle body diameter in your car, and what is the MAF housing's diameter? cuz my one is different sizes, so intake ah lil more tricky. |

Did u do any exhaust work?? If not then u could not be experiencing the full potential of the intake as intake work is usually associated with exhaust work. More air would definitely be goin into the engine and u need to have a way to get it out as fast, which is where headers and associated piping comes in. I wouldn't say its a problem though. Usually u would do exhaust first before puttin in a CAI.
I could be wrong.
Right now i am in discussions with cattman performance to see if there headers would fit on the 2.0 engines. Its a 2.5 catback, stainless steel, mandrel bent, tig welded with dual tip exhaust. I not sure bout the headers diameter which is what i am enquiring. |

I think 2.5, but have to do more research first. The way i see it is that the exhaust is already 2.5 from the y-pipe till probably the muffler where it comes down to 2"
its pretty big. don't no what size the headers is cause i can't see the damm thing to make an assumption. |

hmmmmm.
so if i take out the cat, take out the resanator, and make the stock exhaust 2.5 throught, put in the headers and ah nice muffler, ent that go do nice?
anyhow, i eh do the cold air intake yet, i wah sell ah set ah rims and then i'll do that.
if i'm doing cold air, it will be down in the space u put yours chiney but i going inside the bumper, so i will have sum cutting to do, filter should end up inside the bumper and above the left side fog lamp.(lamp would be removed for the dyno run of course )
rodney until where is the exhaust 2.5? i really thought the exhaust was kind ah big.
so the headers these ppl have its for which engine?
but i doh wah go dual tip, too much extra pipe work, although is v engine.
but tell us how it works out and doh forget price range too.
as for tein products for us, jut go through the list, A33 and A32 are there.
http://www.tein.com/nissan.html
MSRP prices for the A32 are lower cuz its basic dampers, and A33 is super street dampers.
download the instructions manual and u'll see the dampers look just like ours. |
