i doubt it will come back......my concern is that the WD40 dosent short out the electronics........buy a can of CRC electrical contact cleaner and spray both motors.........that should help free up things. |

heard a humming while going home, when turning, and off throttle..........was thinking a bad wheel bearing |
you solved this as yet? I getting a kinda weird feeling in the front of the j31........started off with steering "shimming" on highway at around 120km/h. I look at the steering even at cruise speeds and it wobbles slightly.....when I lock to the right and drive I get a strange heavy sound coming from the left......at times the front rides rough and then again it goes well.....bearing?....or would a bent tyre cause this kinda scenes? More thinking the latter 'cause I ran over a 2x4 plank some weeks ago that some ppl used for hump to slow vehicles down cause dey doing roadwork.......the front hit it kinda hard on decel.....
Hopefully with my lil holiday I would be able to get time to check out the tyre before I go spend more bad money ..........
Shitty thing is that I carried the car by meh mech to check the front suspension thinking was some bushing or link gorne bad.........he observed that the front left cradle was moving a bit too much so he say cradle.......I gorne motorist and buy 2 front ($2400 ).......gorne back by mech and when we pull out the suspect cradle nothing was wrong with it.......all bushings in order.......just for the heck of it I changed it with one of the set I bought and well same scenes.......dem bushings real supple in them suspension sah. |

i would say bent tire or rim........
sometimes it could be a combination of bad suspension and steering parts that gives a steering shimmer.........
i still have the slight humming, still have to raise the car and check to see if its the bearing......i looking to get a good floor jack......i fed up of this damn scissor jacks........does make me break ah sweat......kixx
i have a few problems to sort out on the car generally.....
1) radio antenna is tight in one notch, so it goes up about 2 inches
2) right side door mirror was hit by an idiot driver, now it dosent fold out on its own, it needs some help
3) i think my front and rear crank seals gone, cuz i seeing some engine oil around the area by the pulley.......and i seeing some around the bellhousing.......the front one simple to change, is the back one i worried bout. i not loosing oil so i eh too busy to see about it.
4) brakes kind ah spongy.......have to bleed them, and i have to rebuild my rear calipers cuz the bushing around the piston on one is bad.
5) handbrake light stays on even though its dis-engaged. this started about 3 days ago, still didnt get time to try to sort it out.
6) throttle body sticking in closed position (i real sticking to see about this)
ah feel i'l bleed the brakes tomorrow, and try to solve the handbrake light issue...... |

| wowz dey cacasplat3, real issues there jed..........I intend to do that swap dey cheese........ hopefully tomorrow I'll get serious and do it. If tyre is bent then dat go force meh hand to buy some 18's or 19's.........problem is to select something that'll be strong, lightweight and still go with the look of the car....... |

~˜VëgŲ˜~ try enkei wheels.........some of the sportish designs really compliment the VIP look of the cefiro's........i always hated big heavy nasty looking chromes on any car, so i never recommend them |

i think gerrard (W2J) had brought in a set of lowenhart already....and he sells enkei as well as garvin's..........
personally if i'm going back to alloys i'll be putting on 18's or 19's on a slightly lowered suspension....and it aint no suspex drop either........
the second and third set looks a bit plain, the first set is ah lil too much bling for me......th last one is my choice out of those........
BTW on a side note........was running real hard over the weeknd...and i mean real hard, was ocasionally reaching 180, outside was kind ah cool and the AC was on....water temp gauge on the dash looked OK, but the reading on the GReddy intelligent informeter peaked at 102*......it has never ever reached that high.....it always goes to about 96 at the most.........working normal now though |

the last one does look good, but cleaning........that's why I thought of the first one (which incidentally isn't chrome but like alloy finish)
How's the rad water? |

^^^^nuh my cup of tea
i used to have 10 spoke wheels.......the same design of Duane's Volk's.......wasent hard to clean.......sold them cuz they looked plain after a while and i kept seeing an A33 taxi with the same set and his car was the same colour
i love this set....Enkei RS-V
cant decide on a colour.....but the bronze looks good.......what colour is yur car?
the radiator coolant was changed a couple months ago........looks normal.......i eh worried........its supposed to be able to hold temps up to about 120 safely anyways |

car's white..........honestly I don't like any of those yuh post except the first one.......sorry dey and I want to get away from the universal holes look......simple 5 stud scenes.........the more I look at the one on the blue ciffie the more I like it........
Yuh sure you not leaking any water.....that's why I asked about the water level.......the tiniest of leaks does happen and usually is un-noticed....... |

if i had a leak, at that temp it would have instantly turned to steam, i would have know.....but like i said i was running real hard
white on white always looks nice.....white on black is old........u need big wheels though........on a white car wheels tend to look smaller.....
white on bronze is a nice look.........or on gold.......those colours tend to show up more on white cars.......try to stay away from wheels with a lip though, they tend to look smaller.....
u looked at any advan's? they have some really sweet rims |

^^^honestly bro I eh look at anything and I am TOTALLY ignorant wrt where to go for quality rims locally.......time just don't permit me to go looking around anywhere........I had tried some 17's on the ride but they were lost.....just like you said about bigger rims for the car and colour......
Man thanks for the lil advice and if you come across any decent rims that matching my specs feel free to throw up some pics and where to get them locally..... |

but if it was underneath it may have been difficult to discern........ say what probably just a lil hick in the time/space continuum.........
btw dis 230jk ciffie have no temp guage!!!! All it have is a blue indicator light when it cold and a red one if the engine temp gets overly hot.........yuh have no idea if it getting hotter than normal before it goes in red mode....... |

i get what u saying about knowing where to buy wheels.....i never really found out where to get them either............i now saw a set of BBS on the autoparts and i'm going to check them out tomorrow......they are 17's but the look bigger than my last set, and they look way better too.........if they were 18's i'd surely take them, but i'm still going to check them out tomorrow and make a decision.
will tell u if i see anything u might like.......... |

about yur temp gauge.....thats the first time i've heard about sumthing like that.........u should invest in an aftermarket one and discretely mount it sumwhere.......throw up a pic of yur dash...........i want to see how it looks without a temp gauge. |
