^^^^u'll be impressed until about at 100,000km u find the car gets boring to drive.......
that happened to me, the car needs a full service and i think it mainly has a lot to do with the intake, prob a lot of gunk on the inside of it........and its restricting my power.......i not sure how i'm going to sort that out, but i have to get a good mech to start with.........
and i think i should clean/replace my fuel filter.......talking bout that......ah going to do that now...... |

aye splat i ended up buying a pre fabricated one for 1500 dual core
this place in california (greens) brings down ones from japan
they just had to mod the fan brackets on the rad for the fans to fit , whole thing from pulling the hood to starting the car took about 1 hour
and i got a warranty for 6 months |

ah find one of my rad fans not comming on , what might be the problem ? is the one to the right
when it comes on on high speed for a few seconds and then comes off
it used to run all the time when the ac on on low speed and come on on the high speed for a few seconds
now it does not come on on the low speed at all when the ac on
i checked the connections and they look entact. could it be when i changed the rad and they were messing with the harness it might of broken the wire inside ? or might it be a relay bad ? when the rad had cracked and coolant sprayed all over the front of the engine bay it corroded the contacts on a relay ?
the ran relay box not far from the rad
is there a sensor near the condenser for the temp that may of become unplugged ?
i will not drive the car untill i get this sorted out on saturday
ah doh ever drive with out ac nah |

doh use ac without both fans it will damage yuh compressor. Learnt that from an ac guy. could be just the fan gone, they could jus change the motor i believe(if it made up like the B14 own, motor and blade seperate). One of the fans is directly related to the AC, and the other for the rad for cooling, but when one works the other works by default.
high speed operation is only for a short time if the temp spike. It doesn't indicate a problem, yuh low speed fan blown, come like yuh headlights when yuh low beam go yuh sill have high beam.
look for one saturday. changing the 2 will be up to u. not sure the price. |

well i passed by the auto eletrician right after i made that post , he knocked it with a pliers and it started working he said boss your fan gone
now i went by motorist and they said its 1493 for the motor alone
i just spend 1500 for a radiator
so i thinking it might be some coolant got in it from when the rad was leaking , sprayed it with some WD40 and i it working, went out tonight and it worked well
so i will monitor it but if it gives trouble i going and buy ah new one , dunno if i could get ah universal motor |

^^^^^^^my concern is if the problem will re surface and if the fans could be opend and serviced like how those old school auto electricians used to open up power window motors and service them , make back brushes and stuff
not like these now ah days take out and put back auto eletricans , yea it bad by one in the bamboo and i go put it on for ya |

i doubt it will come back......my concern is that the WD40 dosent short out the electronics........buy a can of CRC electrical contact cleaner and spray both motors.........that should help free up things. |

you solved this as yet? I getting a kinda weird feeling in the front of the j31........started off with steering "shimming" on highway at around 120km/h. I look at the steering even at cruise speeds and it wobbles slightly.....when I lock to the right and drive I get a strange heavy sound coming from the left......at times the front rides rough and then again it goes well.....bearing?....or would a bent tyre cause this kinda scenes? More thinking the latter 'cause I ran over a 2x4 plank some weeks ago that some ppl used for hump to slow vehicles down cause dey doing roadwork.......the front hit it kinda hard on decel.....
Hopefully with my lil holiday I would be able to get time to check out the tyre before I go spend more bad money ..........
Shitty thing is that I carried the car by meh mech to check the front suspension thinking was some bushing or link gorne bad.........he observed that the front left cradle was moving a bit too much so he say cradle.......I gorne motorist and buy 2 front ($2400 ).......gorne back by mech and when we pull out the suspect cradle nothing was wrong with it.......all bushings in order.......just for the heck of it I changed it with one of the set I bought and well same scenes.......dem bushings real supple in them suspension sah. |

i would say bent tire or rim........
sometimes it could be a combination of bad suspension and steering parts that gives a steering shimmer.........
i still have the slight humming, still have to raise the car and check to see if its the bearing......i looking to get a good floor jack......i fed up of this damn scissor jacks........does make me break ah sweat......kixx
i have a few problems to sort out on the car generally.....
1) radio antenna is tight in one notch, so it goes up about 2 inches
2) right side door mirror was hit by an idiot driver, now it dosent fold out on its own, it needs some help
3) i think my front and rear crank seals gone, cuz i seeing some engine oil around the area by the pulley.......and i seeing some around the bellhousing.......the front one simple to change, is the back one i worried bout. i not loosing oil so i eh too busy to see about it.
4) brakes kind ah spongy.......have to bleed them, and i have to rebuild my rear calipers cuz the bushing around the piston on one is bad.
5) handbrake light stays on even though its dis-engaged. this started about 3 days ago, still didnt get time to try to sort it out.
6) throttle body sticking in closed position (i real sticking to see about this)
ah feel i'l bleed the brakes tomorrow, and try to solve the handbrake light issue...... |

| wowz dey cacasplat3, real issues there jed..........I intend to do that swap dey cheese........ hopefully tomorrow I'll get serious and do it. If tyre is bent then dat go force meh hand to buy some 18's or 19's.........problem is to select something that'll be strong, lightweight and still go with the look of the car....... |
