good stuff..........
since you going ahead with the swap......want to know your thoughts on a couple things...
brakes? rotors, pads and braided lines? or upgraded calipers and rotors?(i found a great deal on rotors and pads....powerslot and hawk)
suspension?full coilover kit, adjustable shocks and lowering springs, or stock?( the tokico setup for the adjustable shocks and lowering springs looks like a bess deal) |

The powerslot is a good choice, or u could jus source a 4 piston caliper and rotor setup from a 300zx, or i recently found out that the 350 front and rear calipers fit the A33. As u already have bigger rims, this should be an added benefit 4 u once it will clr...... Will try to get the link 4 u. saw a A32 with it in gulf on friday with some slotted rotors, looked really good. didn't know it could fit on an A32.
suspension wise, full coilover will spoil the luxury ride, NO more cushioning IMO. Been reading good reviews on this place suspex suspension(i think that's the name) in gasparillo. after taking a look at ronnie cef i'm impressed. depends how or what u want to setup the car for. as i am setting it up to race so adjustable is the way for me, but if u want just a drop it may not make sense to spend large $$$ on a good suspension setup. If u really going to turbo, then gettin the power to the ground will be your MAIN concern. So better setup the car right.
hopefully by mth end i will order the hawk and a set of iridium plugs from W2J and then get a full set of energy suspension polyurethene bushings for the front. will look at the front stabilizer bar but space will be an issue as the 35 IM sits a lot higher than the 20 so gettin the bonnet to close will be a prob.
Here's the link for the 350 rear calipers: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=523336
Braided lines are a must in our case since we going more power, but i haven't taken a look at it yet. Not sure what's out there. |

ah hear yuh.......
for me suspension would be the tokico surely......
350Z brakes would be too expensive....even if i could find them..is trinidad.....once is sports things it expensive
i doh trust suspex for the racing/sports suspension.......IMO the good for the show car that gets a reasonable amount of driving......not for harsh conditions......
hoss if u get the poly bushings tell me where....cuz i looking for ah set real long time.....PLZ tell me.....
i sticking with platinum plugs...i have a set in almost 2 years now....and no problems
i getting hawlk my next pad change.......
for the bonnet problem......try a custom fiberglass one......might solve your problems, and save u some weight......
for the braided lines....i think goodridge has a set....check W2J saw some in the shop....ask him to ceck a reference. |

i have to approach a tuner still to get advice on a setup......not sure how i want to build it yet........one of 2 ways, all out with custom internals...or slight thing to about 7 psi.....have to make up my mind......but first i want to source a gearbox, cuz i dont want to run the car on a tranny........its either the 5 spd from the A32 or a 6 spd from an A33 USDM max........ |

i eh able to do all that madness them white boys doing.....them real crazy......i wont trust my own hand when it comes to something like that. |

FTW - For the win
PIA - Actually supposed to PITA - Pain in the Ass
Ok update, they started the wiring process finally......
Good thing i brought in a front half so we can get parts from yes..
Snowman i suggest u wait till i complete my swap so i can tell u in detail what u need to get. Right now i have to go take off the fusebox that is by the battery on the half as the 2 jacks different on that box and my car. Also the elec told me the 3.5 TB motor has a relay and separate fuse in that box he would need to get.
Have to go remove it for him later
will see if i can get pics of the progress later. |

good news....besides the bugs at least it moving ahead......how long now the car down though?
yuh get in contact with the mech?
BTW i found the energy suspension parts......will have to get at least the rear trailing arm bushings cuz mine busted over a year now.......and i might have to get the ones for the stabilizer bar...would have to check the condition on them....
there are replacements for 2 of the 4 engine mounts but i eh know how that working cuz its the mounts with the sensors.....will have to send off an e-mail to energy suspension to find out. |

^^ dread leave the rear trailing arm bushing alone dread, well that's if u doin it yurself, if not well fix up. i will post a link about what is required to change the rear bushings.
The car down approx a mth now.... yeah i know about the motor mounts, it replaces the electronic ones we have to stiffen it up. it will eliminate the engine throwing around in the engine bay on hard launches but u will get some vibration.
U got the part# for the energy suspension parts?? i also located the parts but i want to see what price W2J can get them for before i decide to buy.

Yeah i know. ours is the 22mm, never checked but the 23mm came in a SE(special edition) maxima.
his prices not bad compare to where i was checking : http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=531135
does this, Front End Control Arm Bushing Set include the 2 bushings(small one and large one) on the control arm(also called the craddle arm)???
I have 2 minds about the subframe bushings, i believe they are the crossmember bushings. Not sure what's there purpose or the benefits of getting them. |

the cradel bushing set is a pair of bushings for one pivot point and a sleeve is included
yes a small one and a larger one.....
i not sure what the gains are for the cross member bushings either.....a total of 8 bushings in that set.....
the owner of gulf engineering was just by me....asked him if he could do the bushing pressings and he said yes....so that problem sorted.....says he has a 50 ton press
so that would be done over a weekend....will tell you if i ordering...... |

notice the fluid leaked out and caused a lot of dust to collect on the area around the bushings......

NIce keep me updated. suppose to check gerard monday, he ordered a fuel pressure regulator 4 me. suppose to get some plugs and the hawk from him probably nex week also.
u interested in buying the plugs together, that way we buy 3 boxes(4 each) an split the cost as opposed to buying 2 boxes each an ending up with 2 extra plugs???
Now realise the rear trailing arm bushings are liquid filled !!
Nissan again................. |

boi i'd love to split it up....but right now i have absolutely no time to think about car stuff.....final exams starting next week and ah behind on the studying
all my worries would have to fix in ah one month period after exams.....i want to change my head gaskets(cuz oil sweating around the front cylinder bank) and timing belt as well........ so the engine would have to go into the garage...thinking of porting and polishing the heads one time....in time i'll know what i going to do. |

ah see unorthodox racing has underdriven crank pulleys.... gains of about 9-12 hp on the 3.0l VQ it ah lil pricey but it improves response....list price is $217 USD...but u should be able to get it cheaper.
they also have flywheels for about $600USD |
