hmmmmmm, seen sum pieces of pipe and it looked just like that, no paint. just bare aluminum. anyways about the actuator, i wonder what really happens. cuz out manifold has a similar actuator but on the other side. i guess the one on ours is for the VIAS system or whatever. i never really reved the engine and looked at it. |

well i went digging up today. so i found the AC filters (yea is 2 ah them) they kind ah stink, and seeing that i eh have new ones. i just vacuumed up all the loose dust and insects caught in the filter. the filters are only accessible if u take out the glove box, and its holding supports. about 6 screws and it pops out easily. then one clip and u can take out the filters. i'll have to price out a pair of new filters from massey. more than likely is a couple hundred dollars for it, that doh mean i paying it |

nah. nothing noticeable, i figured that the dust stuck in the filters is the problem. so the only remedy is to change them. but the AC working good so i go leave it so for the time.
as we on the topic of AC, rodney, do u get really really hot air from yur vents when u now put on the AC, after u were driving with it OFF?
i always wondered if it was a problem, or if thats how it works |

nah, it gets cool after about 4~5 seconds, but once the car was parked in the sun or i was driving around without AC on a hot day and i put it on, it come hot for the first few seconds. i thought that would just be hot air trapped in the system |

Yeah mines does that also. But i think it is to do with the air trapped in the system that gets heated. I find i getting a funny smell now though for like 2 secs when i now put on the ac. have to check the filter/s. Caca u price the filters yet, cause i can guarantee it's not a few hundred$$$. I had priced a filter for a wingroad an it was like $1200 by massey. Was gettin it for $800 outside. And it not resuable so don't wet it, u will destroy it.
On a side note, we going an try to start the engine later before we do the heart transplant. Will get some pics up for u guys. |

sheit that is plenty money.
u ever priced the air filter for the engine? i used to pay $35 for ah no brand filter. i doubt i would change the filters soon though, after i vacuumed it up that will have to do for ah next year or so, and besides, i only use AC on mornings on the highway and when rain is falling. i really doh like AC
doh stick with the pics eh!
anyways, i got all the hoses and clamps for the intake, now all i have to get is the piping and the vent filter. the filter should be here shortly.
this is ah pic of the hose packaging. notice the TurboXS logo on the top right side

and this one is of the reducer with 2 t-bolt clamps on it. that $250 in that pic

as much as that is true.. its ah normal intake.. it wont be under pressure where u will need ah BOV to release it..
as for me.. my opinion is that u kinda over spent on the intake..
but it u cuda afford it.. well no scene! but those kinda clamps and branded connectors werent needed.. |

oh sheit i forget.. excuse the 2 posts..
am the AC is blowing hot air for the few seconds becuz of the air inside the car fellas.. the compressor is ah HIGH pressure.. which is good so the coils get cold fast.. hence y after 5-10secs u feel cold air.. the air in that car is hot and as it pulls the air from where u all found your filters, to cool, the coils havent cooled as yet..
understand? |
