the man who supposed to do my intake say he dosent have time until next weekend, i eh know how that going to work cuz school opening monday for me and i usually keep my ass home on weekends.
rodney had said that the newer vq's have VIAS or sumthing so, he said that in the beggning of this thread i think, i think he said it adds 30hp on the 3.0L models over its predessor.
well i got meh brakes polished over the weekend, and i got sum slots up on the front rotors. was done on a CNC milling machine, it was perfectly balanced and no part of the rotor is under the min. thickness, so i safe.
brakes holding like WOW now
a strut bar would be installed in a few weeks, and the extractors will have to put off, most likely i'll just de-cat and put a nice 2.5 inlet turbo barrel. that should be enough for the while.
u wah pics of the intake now? i could take the pics, but is nothing special cuz the filter just behind the battery. |

^^^^^^^^^^ u MAAD
that v6 does sound real sweet with ah good muffler, nuh no brrrraaappppppp thing, is like voooooooowwwwwwwwwww, sounds almost 350z(then again it is the same family!)
removing the cat should give betweent 4-8hp, not sure, but it worth giving it ah try.
strut bar has to be confired though, cuz i supposed to call the fella and i stick
only other thing i could think of doing right now, is changine the coolant(never changed it) and changing the power steering oil, an oil cooler isnt hard to put in to the powersteering system, just remove the loops infront the condenser and put the cooler, but that is ah waster IMO
gauges may come in the future, but those indiglo gauges real hard to come across, i would have sum e-mailing to do to find those things. |

boi that is real money, buh the cradels is ah big blow too, $1300!!!! i payed 900 for one after a discount, all u have to do is get sumone in massey to buy it for u and yuh good. 300 to install one is too high, if is 2 well that eh bad. now doh make the mistake like me and tighten up the cradel b4 putting weight on it, leave the cradel slack, drop the car back on the wheels, then thighten up the nuts. it prevents the rubbers in the cradel from being streched.
what u did to the exhaust?
and ehat else u have to do? |

^^ I was now going to ask if out of all them thread pages if the engine was actually swapped
If I were you guys I would have chilled my self and save to for a VQ35DE and from a crash in a front cut. And take my time and swap out everything. It will cost an arm and a leg but you should have zero problems with the swap. |

the 3.5 have a serious security system, wiring is thunder for those engines. as i posted b4, i saw in ah episode of monster garage, where they swapped a 3.5, it took a top notch japaneese electrician, 2 days to sort out the wiring, even though he had very detailed wiring diagrams.
to wire up that engine would cost more than the front cut.
thread renamed |

engine originally is ah RWD, would be sweet if it could work, but u have to get ah small gearbox to fit, cuz the original real long.
other than that, it would be mean,
to convert a, A32 or A33 to rwd eh go be easy, so it has to stay FWD, only other opiton i seeing is the sr's DET's or VE's
the 20V SR20VE puts out 200 hp, thats N/A but they only came in a specific model priemera, that with a cold air, and extractors, and a lil bit of tuning coud have the cefiros moving, but they really rare. |

i jus realized something today...
the a32 came with cold air hoss.. as well as yours.. if we took out the filter and used ah K&N drop in.. i am SURE.. that the performance wuda be around the same.. |

You seriously forgetting this is Trinidad or wah. You have a whole front cut to use back the harness and all the electrical bits you need to get the car working as it should. So how come to wire it will cost more than the front cut. ? I bet you a whole front cut will cost you about 20k which is from Dashboard go straight to the number plate bolts. By the time you sell the lights and other external body parts you would have made back app half the money you sent cause those Maximas fender bonnet and other body parts are expensive. |
