18's FTW!!!!!
u aint need no quick acceleration once u aint planning to race.
bushings and stuff will destroy eventually anyhow ?
bigger rims may encourage u to drive slower -thus safer

once u prepare to maintain i dont see the problem

Have YOU ever driven any stock car with rims FOUR INCHES BIGGER than OEM???

As I said... 14" - 18"... FOUR inches difference padna, not three.
That will hardly cause just... a lil decrease in accel.

If your car had 17"s stock...lightweight rims (say like an Evo), and you were dumb enough to put some heavy a** CHROMES on it of the same size, you will lose acceleration. It's all about weight.

Can the "smaller than stock" rims fit over your current brake setup? If so...then enjoy the negative-rice factor Laughing

Also enjoy less stability and handling. If you HAVE to go 13"s then look at some 205 60 13 tyres to give you some width.

^^Well, unless you go with really wide small rims. Laughing

Remember that going too wide for a given width of rim (along with profile) will result in stability loss for many rim sizes (excluding wear pattern effects and whatnot).

actually if you car came with 14s and you go down to 13's with bigger tires you would get a much smoother ride but you loose some handling characteristics
