^^That be 3S-GTE UNTUNED, and injectors/throttle body needs cleaning/servicing, and a proper tune up or else it'll run like that...when my tuner gets done with it, then is madness
oh yea, that 4wd celica is "iownacelica" |

dunno, i quit messing around with trying to put this on that, i figure they have 6speed on that for a reason? nothing seems to work to its potential unless it has the stuff it was made on.
but i guessing the 6speed would work on the silver top just you'd prolly be changing gears and revving up HIGH very very fast |

hey guys...
well just for general info, I believe the gearbox works, I think only the flywheel wont.
Anyways, the gearing for a blacktop gearbox is superior to that of the 5sp, especially the final drive, which is the main reason for wanting it.
Engines such as these with such low torque need all the help they can get

ok more general info
6sp flywheel will also work
both 6sp and 5sp are 8bolt flywheels so the conversion is not too difficult. |

| ^^6 I think all the manual trannys are 8 bolts... If you converting from auto to manual, or if the engine came from a car with manual tranny, then you'll need a spacer or soemthing |

ah yes, we get the 4age 20 valve, it does look like a mini 2jz! LOL
cleaning it up tommorow, changing plugs, and whatever to work like new brand and dropping it in in the car.
oh yea, one more question the people say the same 4ag carb. fuel pump would work with this 20 valve....is that true or would we need to go with a next fuel pump or so?
my parents happy, they cant wait to drive the car when it done, removing engine from the car tommorow, i counting how much days this switch take....the mechanic who doing it rel good, he did his galant with rb20det swap in 5 days and it running. He say he go take nearly same time or longer cuz he doing a perfect work cuz the car perfectly nice |

| Once u install a fuel pump baffle u should be fine for spirited driving. Of course an upgraded fuel pump will be noice. |

yep pretty sure d auto axles dont work...had to buy the manual axles to make it fit up.
I always thought that carb pumps cannot work with injection engines as they require WAY more psi...
when i was 12A carb I had a pump putting out about 6-7 psi and I think the stock 13B EFI pump puts out about 40 psi or so?
Or am I confused... |

^^ I agree with you. FI requires alot more pressure that carbs. Carbs create the pressure via... what's it called? Venturi effect? or is that Bernoulli's principle?
Wait... okay now confused too... I have to try to remember my Physics... |
