I recently machined my rotors by laughlin......................NO big difference in braking............Now I know why!!!
I guess you can take a sander and 'rough up' the surface as shown in the vid!

Yeah, I guess it's just to put it back on the lathe and run the sander on it to scuff the directional marks off it.

agreed, tests were well carried out! personally, i never believed in 'machining' rotors..
