bleedingfreak, the sportero is a 2.5L i find it a bit lazy. cone tried to run me down and gave up almost instantly i'm not top sure is the company will be brining the 3.2L. but they do have one plus a sunroof. something thats not an option on any other van. there is no tray access with them as well i don't know why thats not an option cuz i find thats a real neat feature. im not to sure if you can ask them about the powered rear window.

^some of those features are market specific, and the moonroof is only available on the auto version.... Confused

....and how do you expect a 2.5 to keep up with your 3.2.....dais like trying to run a 5 series verses a march Mr. Green

That's right...you also lose some power with the auto besides if you're buying based on speed alone.... buy a gas...

Remember pickups built for power ... torque... to pull weight....not speed.

^^ I getting my Ford Ranger auto test drive after Carnival. They should be here by then...

roadhog, I was told by the sales rep that the 2.5TD Sportero isn't as powerful as some of the other pickups. He made no mention of the 3.2TD.

The price he told me was the same as the Ranger 2.5TD - $215K but I can't remember the differences states though. Maybe after seeing them both... Rolling Eyes

The 3.2 comes only as RORO and is labelled as the Triton (I believe country of origin is Thailand) as compared to the Sportero out of Japan. RoadHog can you confirm this?

If they're the same price, does the Ranger comes with leather interior, automatic and fully functional moonroof for $215.

With regards to quality and durability, which one do you think would hold out best?

Can anyone confirm whether or not they come automatic. All the new automatic 4x4s so far are over $200 k.
ok test drive just over ... :D BT50 is coming with the same chassis and engine i.e. 2500 turbo, manual only... the tires are now 16" but 245 as opposed to 265 previously...
Other than that interior is entirely redone and it now comes with mp3... stock comes with no fogs.
it cost 183kand change, that’s for the highest grade model the other model (difference is only no air bags) cost a little less.
The comfort and drive is about the same better view through with bigger mirrors…

My mechanic was telling me that he was a bit disappointed that they didn't make any upgrades to the engine i.e. 2.5 Turbo diesel engine. I've seen them being advertised in the UK with a new 2.5 Turbo using common rail technology and I believe the 3.0 should be using common rail technology as well. Maybe they'll upgrade them soon (and upgrade the prices too).

Consider it a luxury dual purpose vehicle (however if I paid that amount I wouldn't even want to put a grain of sand in the tray Smile

Where the diesel boys...? Like you all busy partying? Whatever .... just be safe ....
