^ i'll save you the trouble and tell you take the triton/l200. however, if yuh going to be drving on the road 98% of the time, take the mazda......

....triton suspension is the toughest of all the 4x4.

thats strange what you said about the suspension cuz i hear it riding much smoother and softer than the hilux, i basing the ride quality with the new hilux since i have one of those, i waiting to go test drive one later this month..l200 that is...

The Sportero are out of Japan(Triton out of Thailand) and has a pretty neat interior. It's more of a luxury pickup than a utility vehicle. I've noted the side indicators are orange and not clear like most newer vehicles. The only thing I don't is the rear bumper on the Sportero.

Haven't driven one yet but will soon, once my partner get his.

Toyota's global IMV project was supposed to reduce overall cost of vehicles. Apparently those price saving weren't passed down to us. It's hard to believe the price difference for the auto and manual with the Hilux It really doesn't justify the price.

Anyway real pickups have gearboxes *grin*

My uncle just got one of those Tritons, it's really slow, but the ride quality is great (rides better than a Hilux is right). I don't know how strong it is, but I can tell you it has a very nice interior and is very well put together for the price. His is manual 4x4 though.

But personally I'd take the Mazda B2500 Turbo 4x4 over the Triton (or any other van) anyday. Better value for money.

well, yuh boy gorne to diamond motors to get some brake shoes and axel seals for the L2, walkin back to the office i bounce in the showroom to see the 3 of 5 remaining new L200s on the floor, a turbo auto 4x4 and 2 base models.

the run down is as follows, the turbo auto is the only model with the moon roof (of which i cussed... Mad ), there's the manual turbo and two trim levels of the base model, one has power windows and alloys, the other is pure base model.

the prices range from $150k for base to $190k for the "uprated" base. the turbos start @ $215 to i can't remember, but it doesn't cross $225 or $230k (but don't quote me on that).

any which way, mazda could kiss my arse (unless they drop a rotary in a 4x4), toyota could suck dog balls and nissan .........well they should just go into the manure hauling trade...... Laughing Laughing Laughing

yes i'm biased but say what.......allyuh know i on kiks eh....and btw, the turbo auto in the showroom belongs to dwayne bravo.....

Oh yeah? They coming already?
That will rule them all...

Val you know I love the Mazda - there's no better workhorse around. From Pt Fortin to Guayaguayare those trucks real work. That's why we have 8 of them in work - and more coming soon.

Would have loved to keep the ole gurl around...

I know I'll buy another one in the future.

Greypatch Here's the UK link. I guess we will all have different opinions.

http://www.ford.co.uk/ns7/ranger/-/-/-/-/-/-

Equipped2Ripp.... $200K almost sounding like a good deal now eh.... I still think all those pickups over priced especially since license tax is much much lower for a commercial vehicle.

For e.g. to license a 3.0 engine privately is approx~ $70k whereas to license it commercially is around $7K.

looking at the 2007 ranger, i glad it's not like the mitsu and toyota with the curved hood..

it shaped like the D40 frontier, more rugged looking Twisted Evil

Click for full-size.

this is the USDM frontier though, the japanese export model we'll get this year may have a few differences in the wheels, headlamps, roof racks, side steps and the front grill...
