.....well my van eh making 140kph unless in going downhill on the UBH... Laughing Laughing

....but yeah, the shiftin patterns do help mileage, but i do shift to the limit sometimes and is a/c right through.

....why drive with the windows down when you still get great mileage with a/c orn right thru. and i can't roll them down anyway because my tires stick out the fender, so any little water.....

....but that's how i like it. Mr. Green

^^ I've been told that the stock filter in the Madza B2500 is really good... It can actually be washed! Did it a few times already - washed it very gently in water with a lil Quix (Squezy is the impersonator! Razz ) Most of the dirt came out. Wash it under flowing water and leave it to dry...

Try that if you interested in saving a $80 for a new filter Smile

Be careful where you full diesel and gas too Smile
But the diesels seem more affected

A couple times got a bug caught in the strainer from the fuel tank... (a bug? YES! a bug!!) cause we used to fill up in the old gas station in Arouca... was closest to home and first and last) in the direction of work.

Since that, I only fill up at Peake's... Confused

I does get 400KM on my mazda with normal driving, thats about $75-$80 to fill up with 100-120KM runs. If I drive really slowly, shift early & don't pass 80-90km/hr I get amazing results but it does be tooo slow for me. Someone told me that if you got a turbo you should try & shift be4 the turbo spools up to save gas. Again I never really tried caus it was too slow for me. All of this with AC on.

Fellas, ah hear ( from a mechanic) that throwin in a litre of kerosene every now & then in your tank is good for your injectors. What allyuh think ?
Is this wise ? or should I just stick to the regular injector cleaners ?

Is there a real difference in the oil you use in a regular diesel as opposed to a Turbo diesel Engine?
Right now I use the Shell Rimula but it says nothing on the bottle on if it is recommended for Turbo engines.

Just like a turbo charged car eh... Use a higher performance oil. Remember the oil has ALOT or work to do...

I use the Ultramax... Never really had a problem, but I might try another oil next change

using a higher performance oil always has its advantages but if your have a turbocharged engine it is also recommended to use a lighter oil cuz it travels through the turbo/engine oil lines faster....

OK, I've checked the mpg ( albeit over a short distance however) - 400km burned $66 in diesel which works out to be 21.4 mpg. How's that compare to your vehicles ?

Interestly though, for those saying $80 gives 700km, that works out to 30mpg which is a lot better mpg figure than many of the cars presently on the road.
