I believe it's the Alpha....What's the going price for these. I really don't mind a used one in good condition.
BTW ....How's the ride?
My neighbour suppose to get the new local L200, I understand they're out of Japan and being called the Sportero. Fully loaded $215 000 with 3year /100 000 km. (Those out of Thailand are being called the Triton).... |

I honestly find them too pretty for the mud....
I like my gears man.... just my preference. If I get tired, I take the wifey's automatic.
BTW...fellas, I on the look out for a used alpha roll bar to fit the Hilux. Let me know if you come across anything. |

Under 80km/h - 20 sec
Over 120 km/h and uphill - 1-2 mins
For the last kilometer before I arrive at my destination, I usually drive under 80 km/h and leave the turbo timer running for 30 secs. |

| Sweeks, I looking for that rear sports bar too. I am getting the newest sports bar Toyota have with my hilux but I prefer the older model bar. If you're interested in the newer bar, let me know... I should be getting my hilux next month. |

Changed the gear oils this week gone
Everything working like normal.
Front diff was like new still though. Didn't really have to change it.
Rear diff was okay and tranny/transfer case was ok. All still had a lil purple colour to it
Still had the distinct Bel Ray smell to it...
Like I said - changed to Castrol. So everything should be all good!
BTW. Using the Trueno right now. Cars suck. Gasoline is the devil, being low is monkey balls, cars can't abuse rough roads... |

Installed the water temp gauge. These vans can get as hot as 80 degrees celsius Water temp on idle. Normal driving in cool weather (80kph airflow) can bring it to as low as 40 degrees celsius. Good things to know I guess.
Installing the ammeter today. |

anyone ever installed an intercooler on their 2.5L hilux?
this is the only turbo van that comes non-intercooled, and would it make sense to install one? |

323_wagon_dude I believe your tray might be bigger. Are you getting the Alpha type? Are you getting the chrome bars/stainless steel pipes to replace it with? If it fits, and the price is good, I'll be interested. |
