correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't kerosene deplete the cetane level in diesel and wouldn't a turbo charged diesel engine require good cetane levels in the fuel??? secondly, remember 50% or more of those cleaners are made of kerosene (i think) so if you do have to pour kerosene in your tank wouldn't $5 be too much and more like $2???

the cheaper additives certainly smell like kerosene. I'm not sure if they will reduce the cetane level, but yes turbo and N/A diesel engines were designed with a particular Cetane level in mind.

Ravist .... I go with 50 litres of kerosene to 3.33 litres of kerosene when flling up (I believe the tank capacity is 66 gallons).

I'm learning everyday... tell me more.

P.S. Last day of fasting.

you mean you'll go with 50litres of diesel to 3.33 kerosene... the tank should be 70-75 litres.

So the Frontier is home.

It's the ZD30 - 3.0 TDi

147 hp and 230 lb-ft or torque Shocked

(BTW, new Mazda B2500 has more torque)

Only drove it a lil bit, still have to put in immobilizer, etc

So what do I need to know about this engine?

do you add via the fuel filter or pour it in the tank?

I was thinking about this a lil bit

Question: Wouldn't MOST of the CBA or other solution or cleaner just return to the fuel tank and mix with the fuel within the first minute?

Meaning only a small percentage pure injector cleaner getting directly to the injectors, etc?

Think bout it..

great read up there man will take me a lil while to read through it but has some nice info.
yeah it's a bit heavy but it's one amazing vehicle. onpar with the hilux and i believe it's the hilux's main compettitor. it is leading the class in power. very very confortable ride and suspention. as well as a great turning cycle for it's size. it also has more space than the hilux in cab. and the read seat is at a 25 degree angle very very confartable even in the back seat. will take some pics as soon as it's delivered for you guys. i like the shape as well hilux is to common this stands out on the road. but it's not a shape for everyone to like i must agree.
