Ok i got a question for you guys - recently i had the ranger underwashed, engin wash etc.
Someone told me i shouldnt have the shocks sprayed with the shock oil that it may damage the rubbers
Need some feedback on this |

| no it won't damage the rubbers if it's used every 2 months or so.. it's better to spray the oil than to leave it dry.. common sense alone would tell you why. |

And by contrast, we love to see it in that condition. Simply cause it mean we trucks getting wuk... Doh worry, you'll start to like it soon
I feel I beat back wagon_r yesterday - I went up Guanapo quite up to the bridge just before the quarry. Only mud, gravel, rain & mud...
Going Matura this morning, so we should get even dirtier...
Underwash DUE... |

you cyar be worse than me.....i can't see thru any left side glass, both mirrors (which i have to wipe), the windscreen (till rain fall this morning) and rest of the van is ah mess.
i wash under it yesterday just to take off the heavy mud and took 1/2 with a hose.
back number plate it almost invisible and the headlights work but don't cast much light.....
.....and i'll be passing thru my reg. cane road to go home today......and guess what, it rained real heavy this morning.... |

...before i forget, i have a suggestion for the diesel run.....
....but it involves getting your van dirty. (like i would suggest anything else)
...all who interested.....a trek to the supposed new drag strip.....i went yesterday....and boy oh boy....a playground just waiting to be explored....but we can't go on a day with too much rain....otherwise we might not make it out...
.....but think about it.... |

Anyone having problems with water in their diesel, over the weekend i filled up the hilux and soon after the fuel low light began flasing, the new hilux owners will know that when this happens you need to bleed the fuel pump because water has accumulated there, well i let the water drain out and primed back up the pump, when i checked the dam,n light still on , only now it stop blinking and on full time...
well monday morning bright and early, i reach down toyota buy new fuel filter, air filter , oil filter and oil, (the van was due for its 30,000k service so i decided to do everything on time, took it to my mechanic, changed all filters and oil, i say problem should be fixed with that, well i cuss when i switch on and the light still watching meh, i head back toyota and spoke to a service rep who said that they have had alot of cases where customers are complaining about this problem, he said the only fix was to pull down the tank and drain it... .......i dropped it off this morning and the estimated cost is about $600.00 plus the filters and oil and labout from Monday in total about $1500.00....
The rep i spoke to this morning said they have prepared a report and sent it to NP complaining about the crappy diesel we are getting...i don't have much faith that NP will do anything about this, so do i have to put aside money every few months to pull down my tank and drain it?
so anyone having this problem, and is there anything i can do to minimise or avoid this in the future? |
