In Couva, Reputable AutoDealer not to far from the traffic lights on the main road - 636-0849 (Steve)

Local Amsoil Dealer - MotorCycle Etc .. Eastern Main Rd., Barataria (Larry Ali) - 6752453. Not sure if he still in business though.

Equipped2Ripp what Amsoil products do you recommend for the 1kz-te? I usually use an amsoil diesel treatment (can't remember what it called) and manually pump/prime it via the fuel filter to injectors.

Right before my last oil change my wife told me she saw lots of white smoke coming from the exhaust.... Not sure why though...just reach 30 000km

I spoke to Steve tonight (Reputable AutoDealer not to far from the traffic lights on the main road - 636-0849) He has the CBA for $60.

Equipped2ripp... do you add via the fuel filter or pour it in the tank?

have you all ever tried the liqui moly diesel anti knock....works like a dream and i have been using this for the last year and no problems, the price varies between $40-50.....its an in-tank cleaner so it cleans the entire fuel system and not just the pump.....

Seriously.... When I'm changing fuel filter, I've seen my mechanic pour the CBA into the filter, fit on the filter and then manually pump it into the injectors. After a few pumps, he refills the filter and continue. You've never seen that..??

With my previous pickup, I did this once a year and never had to service the injectors or fuel pump.

W.r.t to white smoke.... I came home from work, took a showever and was heading off to break fast, then I realized I forgot something. When I came back home, I reversed into the yard, and that's when she asked if something was wrong with van....

As I said before, this was right before my oil change.

Anyway I know of a few people who use a small amount of kerosene (like $5 worth) when filling up their diesel. What do you guys think?

Do you notice a performance increase like equipped2ripp Question

So the smoking stop now then?

I used to get bad white/grey smoking with the pickup before I changed glow plugs & the heat sensor. But this was usually only on a morning or when engine cold.

I think you should check the glow plugs, maybe one went bad? But after only 30K km? ugh! Rolling Eyes

remember the kerosene helps to thin the diesel...

when i went to buy the turbomax guardian3, i saw the syntec blend and remembered that's what i used to use when i now got the van... so i decided to go with that one instead, even though it's $15 more a quart.

The SR5 is still under warranty so I've schedule a defect report. Glow plugs don't go like that.... I doubt there's anything wrong but I'll let Toyota determine that.

I might just try the kerosene treatment ($5.00 worth every month) and a CBA via the fuel filter once a year.

The 1kz-te engine has some kick (right Equipped2ripp) but I don't usually drive hard. After a CBA treatment the van's performance does improve.

Trrryyyyy it .... yuh go like iiiittttt !!!

3 days of fasting to go again....

correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't kerosene deplete the cetane level in diesel and wouldn't a turbo charged diesel engine require good cetane levels in the fuel??? secondly, remember 50% or more of those cleaners are made of kerosene (i think) so if you do have to pour kerosene in your tank wouldn't $5 be too much and more like $2???

Ravist .... I go with 50 litres of diesel to 3.33 litres of kerosene when flling up (I believe the tank capacity is 66 gallons).

I'm learning everyday... tell me more.

P.S. Last day of fasting.
