Dragsta this is exactly so

everything the same on the BT-50 and Ranger 2.5L turbo

minor cosmetic differences

BT-50 come out the showroom with running board and tray rail

ranger doesn't

same Instrument panel, engine, deck, chassis, drivetrain

ok well the BT-50 & New Ranger must have the same chasis, engine, drivtrain etc.

But i find they look totally different...in terms of lights, and a lil shape...

yo diesel people, I've been reading from the first post here & it's all been good, helpfull stuff. Sadly I have a question for you guys. I have a B2500 Mazda pickup, pretty new, about 1year and a 1/2 now. The problem is i've recently noticed that when i mash down full speed the pickup will make a turbo spooling noise. This happens right after 2,000rpm. It's pretty cool but i know it was never there before so i feel something wrong. I looking for any idea as to whhat going on here. Also it's pretty loud spool noise. I looked at the whole intake, clamps and all seem fine to me. PLz help:)

nope, i don't have a turbo timer. Parents bought the pickup and saw no need to get it so getting them to buy one was kind of hard, i'm still trying. I do wait after i drive tho, normally i play a song which is about 3min and then switch off. If i'm in a hurry i wait about 30sec to a min. However i'm not the only one who drives the pickup. Dad and brother do to and my brother does drive real hard with it. I'll see if i could get a sound or movie clip of it. There is no power loss that i can feel, i've driving fine, overtaking fine. I borrowed my friend's Gtech pro meter yesterday and we did a few run just to compare from the last time we did it, again just for fun. It's saying the same hp and torque. Please note this spooling sound only comes in if i floor it ad go past 2,000. Otherwise u would not know a thing.

hmm i've never really did a 1/4 mile caus i never was thinking about it, i normally do a hp and torque reading. After a service it'll say 53hp and 166torque. PLz note that's the power that is actually propeling the vehicle, not the rated power, caus u'll lose power in the vehicle. Right now it's saying 43hp and 147torque. I'll go check the oil and manifold now. The last service was not done by southern sales, but outside.

Triton is a mythological Greek god, the messenger of the deep. He is the son of Poseidon, god of the sea, and Amphitrite, goddess of the sea. He is usually represented as a merman, having the upper body of a human and the tail of a fish.

Like his father, he carried a trident. However, Triton's special attribute was a twisted conch shell, on which he blew like a trumpet to calm or raise the waves. Its sound was so terrible, that when loudly blown, it put the giants to flight.

I ran this fuel filter for 10,000kms I was so dam shocked! Normally when i just bled it from the drain valve i get clean diesel (weekly). I decided to change it anyway, Look what I found when i shook it out. Embarassed Embarassed Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Shocked Shocked

i have had to take my tank down 2 times in 3 weeks

for water and fuel..

that has caused me to change my fuel filter every oil change plus buy my fuel from one station.

Patchie....is this your first diesel? When you change diesel oil, after two days, it gets black again.

IMHO 5000km is good man. In my previous hilux (2L engine) I ran oil to 6000km, did 187 000km and never had a problem.

Now with the SR5 I'm running fully syntec (mobile delvac1) to 7500km with no problems either.

What's your mileage? Would you want to give full syntec oil a try? After 5000km it'll look the same but syntec has lots more detergent so you can run it up a bit more. Another option to try a slighty heavier body oil.

1st diesel...

was just suprised to feel the body of the oil both new and after 5k

mileage now is 21k

other frontier owners what alluh say ?
