Johnny servicing at 300 000km ... wow... that's good to hear.
Saeid... with that 2 weeks... you need to prioritize. W2J from the forum (Teknet) might be able to help you with the K&N.
Kid are you going to get the Prado's fuel pump serviced? |

I asked him and he said that the T.Timer would work independently if it's installed separate from the alarm. I recommend a pager alarm like i have it's really good. Tonnes of features. you can call him and ask about it if you like.

Mighty... there's a clifford alarm that comes with an inbuilt turbo timer. Then again, the clifford you're getting might not have that feature. I saw a clifford alarm with inbuilt timer one on a TCA Ranger. And Saied is right, it's independent to the Alarm.
Let me know what you get, a partner with a Sportero looking for one too. |

The Mul-T-Lock ppl also have a really good alarm with turbo timer, auto start, pager, etc etc... We have one of a pickup in work. Works great for turbo timer and auto starter. A lil tricky setup but after that is okay. Price? I dunno... |

Its about $2400. It also has an anti hijacking feature. I'm planning on having one installed in the hilux. |

| some more work done on the prado. still wasnt cooling enough so i replaced the radiator cap, the old one was keeping the pressure but was completely rusted. noticed an immediate difference. had the oil changed to castrol turbomax 15w 40...well she workin now! accelerates alot smoother and with less effort. the engine itself runs a bit quieter and all the lost power has been recovered. put in a bottle of redline fuel treatment as well it smokes less but its still noticeable. also noticed that it only smokes excessively when the a/c is on. also did an engine wash, underwash, oil spray, and greasing. There are a couple things that still need some work. still overheating but nowhere near as much as it used to( illl try redline water wetter) , still smoking though not as much, and sometimes i hear this rattling sound from the engine, happened while i was 'testing' the performance and it slowed momentarily before accelerating. the rattling only lasts about 1 second though. |

Sweeks, it doesn't have the strainer... I was just curious on how would the strainer be cleaned.
I carried the hilux by Ziebart to do the rust proofing yesterday. The did a pretty good job. The under coating cuts the road noise practically to nil... now i'm hearing the wind blowing over the top...
Spray on tray liner next. Does anyone have the Rhino liner from Ziebart? |

I've got the rhyno liner but I'm not sure if Ziebart did it. Good investment.
How much was the undercoating? |
