Saied, coincidently I had looked at this video so many times, I downloaded the techno song and burnt it to CD. I played that track as I pulled out of the showroom. |

Freak... thanks man... I'm running down the tank to below quarter before I start using it.
Fellas, need your opinion on something. My 'girl' has a couple scrapes on her. I'm considering flashing her over and getting her buffed. I'm one for originality but replacing the stripe is expensive.
My options are (in order of increasing expenditure) :-
1. Do nothing, leave van as is.
2. Touch paint, buff, leave stripe
3. Touch paint, buff and remove stripe
4. Flash over, buff and not replace stripe
5. Flash over, buff and replace stripe.
What do you guys think? |

Sweeks, if you like how the stripe looks then replace it. Remember your girl is parked in your garage. You have to look at her everyday, you dont want to be looking at her in a "you used to look better" way. You want to look at her in longing lustful "WHOA SEXY BABY!" way.
Personally, I'd go with the flash over, buff and replace stripe. BTW, is the stripe painted on or is it a stick on? |

...oh how right you are. took the day off yesterday to recover, 2 1/2 hrs just to clean the inside (remove both front seats and clean them plus vacum the interior and wipe down practically everything)....
....but the outside.. |

Saeid.... thanks for the reply. All or nothing. There are couple black SR5s without the stripe... I guess that's based on owner's preference.
323 Wagon_Dude it's a stick on... digital printing. I'm looking around to see if graphics shop can make one. If it's too expensive I may just hold off... someone told me Toyota has it for $6000. I haven't gotten that confirmed.
Check out these headlamps....

I think drop shop in charlieville does the digital stick ons.
It might cost less to have it painted on. I'm considering painting a simple silver stripe from front to rear just to distinguish my babes from all the others. A police man once told me car theives choose cars that have the stock look (unless they going to sell the bling).
The headlights looking real good. I like that projector light look. It will make yours stand out for sure. |

Sweeks i can tell you that digital stick ons don't last very long. the original stickers are screen printed on clear vinyl. that's why it's so durable and cost so much. the ink that is used for digital will fade fast. it will last a longer it it's laminated tho. but then after you do all that the sticker will be thick and raised above the paint like a ridge in a "not to pleasing way". a custom painted stripe airbrushed on will look wicked too and you can do it in whatever color and/or design you want. |
