so my van has gone past 32,000kms, and still rolling on the OEM 16's (Bridgetstone Dueler's)

While there is still some tread left on the tires, I'm thinking in a few months I may have to change.

The size is 225/ 70 R16. I plan to maintain this size.

I've never bought tires for a SUV or van before in Trinidad. I'm looking for something that is an all terrain tire.... 90% of my time is on the road... but there are times I'm off road.. and I'd like to have the versatility of an all terrain tire (not a purely off road.. but a combination)

So...

What is available locally?

What price range should I budget for?

Are All Terrain tires noisy on the road?

Mini,i have Hercules Terra Trac Suv on my van, but its 215/ 70 R16, they work excellent both on road and off. can't remember how much i paid, ill look for the bill and post it. it also has great wet road traction (which is useful these days since it have reall rain). On the downside, it may be a bit noisy on the kina bumpy type of pitch (like what u find in wallerfield). However, i had a set of bridgestone tires before as well, and they were more noisy.

My cousin recently changed tires on his van, and put on some kumhos, not sure which type, will let you know as well.

I have Kumho Ecsta STX on the samurai... 265/70R15, they're bit to wide, since its on a 15x8 rim with 3" backspace. And I kinda starting to dislike how the wide tires messes up the side of the vehicle when it rains Neutral

I have a set of 16"x7" rims from the older model G.Vitara, and I looking at Going back with the Kumho Ecstas STX but with either 255/55R16 or 255/60R16 sizes.

Mini, the Ecsta STX is available in 235/70R16 too, and IMO, I get superior dry and wet traction with them Wink. However they are considered to be a bit noisy, but I don't have a problem with the noise. Available from Mileage Mack.

The OEM Bridgestone Dueler H/T D687 is crappy on wet roads, which I found out recently Embarassed The 687 scored 5.4 & 5.7 in hydro and wet traction. Laughing

Six months+ of the year the roads are wet, so I need better hydro and wet traction

Suzuki Sportsman, Aidan, any updates or new info for Mini's question?

These Tirerack recommended tires both scored 8.1 & 8.2 in hydro and wet traction

KUMHO Solus KH16
