|
|
| Has anyone ever installed an SR20VVL with an Sr20 Auto Trans and if so does it or will it hold up to the additional power. I know I will have to get a controller for the VVL. I was told the original Auto Tranny that comes with the VVL will not fit in a Sentra B14. |

| the vvl tranny has a different mounting location. if you can get the bracket from a primera front cut the mech. can weld it in place to hold the tranny. |

SR20VVL comes in Hyper CVT tranny and a LSD Tranny. My neighbour/ padna has a B14 and swapped in the SR20VVL with the LSD Tranny and it fits perfectly, however i can't say for the CVT though. I've never seen or heard anyone doing a swap with VVL CVT in a B14.
The only problem, was that my padna had to get the SR20 mount to work on his B14. |

| need some help, i have a p11 primera, with vvl sr 20,tranny was busted so mechanic put a regular sr20 tranny in,the car doesnt perorm like it should,in terms of,at low speeds,it drops rpm an bucks like its about to cut off,or the gears change way too early when i mash down to board, thereby, not achieving full rpm,is this because im using the wrong tranny?can i do anything to rectify the problem?ran diagnostic on it an everything is working, avvl tranny is about 5000 tt, but for those who are interested,i found this place in nj,that sells them for 350 US,I checked the price of shipping,an its about 250 US or so,should i just buy the vvl tranny orcan the sr20 work? |

At what RPM does the gear change at when flooring the gas pedal? RPM drops and bucks like it wants to cut off...this happened to my padna as well. I know u ran a diagnostic test already but ask yuh mechanic to check out yuh MAF (mass air flow) sensor to see if it needs cleaning.
Second if you are using normal SR20 O2 sensor this will cause the low rpm drop problem as well.
My padna busted two auto trannys' already by revving in neutral and then rock the lever to 1st gear...but in the 1st gear he achieves 9000rpm. He mostly uses 1 and 2 gear on a regular basis. |

| the gears change at 5000 rpms or so,give or take,i normally, rev in neutral also,b4 changing to first, but i dont hold the revs that high, should i give up an buy the original tranny, since i can get it to tntm for 500 US,including shipping,or can the sr20 tranny work?i hear ppl say the hyper6 tranny gives trouble,so im basically wondering, which direction to go,will it be expensive to turbo this engine,or better to buy aturbo engine,(this is secondary, want the tranny problem dealt with) |

| QG15DE, I would like to get some info on that LSD Tranny please, Am in the process of swapping the SR18 in my U15 Bluebird for a SR20VE. I decided not to go with the CVT Tranny that came with the engine because of the same engine mount issues, and instead I reused the old tranny from the SR18. The Mech says it will work because I got the complete harness with the VVL engine. I always thought that the LSD only came with gearboxes, but if there is a tranny so equipped i want to get one! give me a call at 681 5892, or pm me your # and I'll get on to you. thanks |

Zwill, there is a LSD auto Tranny for SR engines. This Tranny will work with SR18 and SR20/ VVL .
The LSD Gearbox is around $3500- $4000
I don't know the price for LSD AUTO Tranny...but u can check any motor parts place for them.
For starters my friend, take a trip to Debe and Penal and you will be surprise at the amount of engine parts place available while u drive through. I promise u that this trip will worth your time and if u could use your mouth good u can talk your way into getting discounts .
Ammm, them price jacked up . A LSD Gearbox for SR20 is now $5500 and that's the cheapest. I could imagine the price for a LSD Automatic. And SR20VVL is now $15,000... . Oh shiet!
