2 questions...
1. what is the difference between the gearbox from an sr18de with lsd from a sr-20det gearbox?
2.would the exhuast/ turbo manifold from an sr-20det bolt up to a sr18de? been told that they are the same block jus the sr20det is turboed and has a longer stroke
nissan noobie here.... got a sr18 that pulls like a 20det was studyin turboing it instead of swapping for a sr20det, heard the 18 take more licks anyways |

| well the gearbox lsd is two wheel, but the sr20det is four wheel ,the sr18 lsd box will fit the sr20det but the four wheel will not bolt due to the fact that it need a extra bolt on the block to bolt the transfer case .The manifold from the sr20det will bolt .But the engine when turbo'd will not last .It is a good project but in the end u will spend the same money as to buy a sr20det.Know what is your options are and think it through . If u need advice give me a buzz at 712 5795. |

A tuner with a DET should carry him for a ride to let him feel what a DET really pulls like! |

hoss, i reeeel appreciate the info and help my man. It's nice to know that there are helpfull people out there. As far as my project goes i really want to keep the sr18 and be different, i feel if i build it properly (meaning pistons/crank etc.) it will preform nice and be just as reliable as stock. |

Cuz - you might want to try www.sr20forum.com Even though they mostly deal with sr20, plenty ah dem brodders toboing dey DE....you might be able to get some ideas. However, not sure about reaching 16-18 psi on a sr18de+t... |
